Abstract: A reversible receptacle for coupling with a USB A-type standard connector, including a first set of four electrical contact regions and a second set of four electrical contact regions, the contact regions configured such that in a first coupling orientation of the reversible receptacle with the standard plug, only the first set of electrical contact regions is mechanically connected with the contacts of the standard plug and in a second coupling orientation of the reversible receptacle with the standard plug, only the second set of electrical contact regions is mechanically connected with the contacts of the standard plug. Also provided are corresponding reversible USB appliances based upon the aforementioned reversible receptacles.

Abstract: A charger unit for an electronic device that includes a housing, a plurality of charging contacts provided on the housing, and a recess provided in the housing, preferably on a rear face thereof. A plug having a plurality of prongs may be selectively attached to and detached from the housing for electrically connecting the charger unit to a source of charging current. When attached to the housing, one or more of the prongs of the plug are electrically connected to a respective one of the charging contacts. In addition, a plurality of storage sockets are provided in the housing within the recess. Each of the storage sockets are adapted to receive and hold therein a respective one of the prongs of the plug to enable the plug to be safely and securely stored when not in use.

Abstract: A compound conversion plug structure with an adjustable angle includes an adapter and a plug component. The adapter includes an outer shell, a moving block, a plurality of transfer pieces, a plurality of metal inserting pieces, and a plurality of engaging pieces. The moving block defines a guiding groove thereon, and protruding pieces defined on the transfer pieces respectively are set in the guiding groove, the metal inserting pieces are assembled with the transfer pieces, one end of which extends out of the outer shell, and additional ends of the metal inserting pieces engage with the engaging pieces respectively. Because of the structure of the moving block and the transfer piece of the adapter, the metal inserting pieces can be inserted into two types and standards of sockets. Hence, the adapter provides multiple changes to suite actual needs.

Abstract: A power source supplier able to change its plug includes a main body and a plug. The main body has a recess provided with a plug engage block and plural elastic conducting strips. The recess has the opposite sides of its lower side bored with two position-limiting notches. The main body is further provided with a press button having its free end disposed with an elastic clasping member in the recess. The plug fitted with the main body has its rear side bored with a plug engage slot and plural connecting slots for receiving the plug engage block and the elastic conducting strips, and its periphery fixed with two engage members matching with the position-limiting notches. The plug is provided with a connecting block having a rear engage groove for receiving the clasping member. Thus, different-structured plugs can be easily and accurately assembled on the main body.

It comprises a cover having at least one opening; a base plate; an electrode bracket having at least one opening which is disposed in between the cover and the base plate; and at least one socket core that is rotatable in one full circle which passes through the opening of the cover and is disposed inside the openings of the electrode bracket, wherein a plurality of apertures is disposed longitudinally inside the socket core. While inserting, if there is insufficient space, the space limitation can be overcome by rotating and changing the angle of the socket core appropriately and the plug can be successfully inserted into the socket.

In one embodiment, the charger includes at least one pocket for receiving an electronic device, like a cellular telephone. Within the pocket, an electronic connector capable of supplying power to the electronic device is mounted atop an optionally detachable adjustable connector support member. The adjustable connector support module has cantilever arms that have protrusions disposed thereon. The cantilever arms are preloaded against adjustment tracks that include a series of ratchet grooves. By applying a lateral force against the adjustable connector support module, the connector may be moved laterally from a first position to a second position. Where the adjustable connector support module is detachable from the charger, the adjustable connector support module may be coupled to a connector base member by way of snap features that engage travel rails on the connector support member.

A variety of interchangeable electrical plugs can preferably be fitted to the same casing.

Abstract: A universal adapter that is equipped with retractable pins such that RS232 type of connectors having different numbers of pins or sockets can be connected together. It is further disclosed a method for utilizing such universal adapters by retracting at least one of the retractable pins such that a smaller female connector can be inserted into a larger male connector by retracting a suitable number of pins in the male connector to allow the insertion. The apparatus allows the connection of a 25-pin male connector to any suitable number of sockets in a female connector, i.e. most likely to a 15-socket or a 9-socket female connector. The back surface of the elongate member has an electrical plug extending therefrom and is located towards the second end of the elongate member. Abstract: A rotatable and interchangeable electrical plug for an electronic device which plugs directly into a receptacle. The electronic device comprises an enclosure with a socket for receiving the plug. The plug includes a detent which fits into one or more indents in the socket for determining the orientation of the plug. The plug can also be rotated in the socket to positions defined by the indents, which allows the orientation of the electronic device to be changed once plugged into the receptacle. In another aspect, the receptacle cover includes a safety catch which is engaged when the device is rotated to a lock position.
