Including Receptacle Patents (Class 439/211)
  • Patent number: 4952163
Abstract: A raceway assembly employing snap-on outlet covers is disclosed. The raceway has multiple compartments extending longitudinally for carrying conductors such as standard house wiring power conductors and telephone or data conductors. Separate outlet housings each comprise a one piece, generally metal, bracket having a front wall on a parallel back wall. Insulative end walls are secured to enclose the interior of the receptacle housings. The brackets have openings in the front wall and outlet conductors, such as duplex receptacles or modular telephone jacks, are secured to the front wall. Access to one compartment is provided by a cutout in the rear wall and the rear wall covers the entire portion of the other compartment. Brackets can be positioned side-by-side with multiple outlet connectors or receptacles being positioned on the same centerline.

  • Patent number: 4897048
Abstract: An electric ducting comprises, inside a metal protection casing in the form of a tubular conduit, a flat support which extends in the longitudinal direction of the casing, over the whole length thereof, and which is formed by extruding an electrically insulating plastic material. The support is provided with parallel grooves arranged side by side, in each of which a current conducting bar is housed flat. For the same flat grooved extruded support, the conducting bars corresponding to different current ratings have the same general U-shape whose legs and base have respectively the same outer height and the same outer width whatever the current rating, only the thickness of the U-shaped bar varying as a function of the current rating.

  • Patent number: 4872849
Abstract: A channel outlet comprising a housing of insulative material has means for mounting the outlet in an opening in a channel-shaped cover of a channel housing and includes a terminal-receiving member and a cover member. Power terminals and a ground terminal are secured in cavities in the terminal-receiving member. The terminals have a first section adapted to terminate a respective electrical conductor thereto. The power terminals have wrap-around receptacle sections adapted to receive blade terminals of a conventional electrical plug therein. The ground terminal includes a contact member for sliding electrical contact with a ground pin of the electrical plug and a ground tab extending exteriorly of the cover member for ground connection to a channel-shaped base of the channel housing.

  • Patent number: 4815984
Abstract: A wire harness assembly is disclosed in which a wire harness having a primary wire bundle and a plurality of branch wires branched from the primary wire bundle is received in a wire protective casing composed of a casing body and a casing cover along with the arrangement configuration of the wire harness. A plurality of engagement holes are formed in the protective casing, corresponding to connectors provided at terminal ends of the branch wires. Cushion arms that are engaged with the engagement holes are formed on outer walls of housings of the connectors, so that the connectors are displaceable relative to the engagement holes.

  • Patent number: 4775328
Abstract: The present invention provides a modular electrical power block assembly including a plurality of ports for receiving individual modular circuits. The power block assembly includes seven separate electrical conductors, three of which are hot, two of which are neutral and two of which are ground, for providing three separate and independent circuits. The hot wire of one of the circuits is advantageously separated from the hot wires of the remaining two circuits by two grounds and two neutrals and one circuit may be shielded to prevent penetration of electro-magnetic interference from the other circuits. Individual circuit modules are adapted to be received within individual ports of the power block for selectively completing one or more of the three independent circuits provided by the power block assembly. The contacts extending from the individual circuit modules are arranged to engage only preselected wires within the power block assembly for completing a predetermined circuit.

  • Patent number: 4758182
Abstract: An electric connector including a housing made of resin and having a plurality of cavities for receiving a plurality of terminals and a terminal retaining member made of resin and having a plurality of holes. When a rear portion of the housing is inserted into an opening formed in a front portion of the terminal retaining member, the housing and terminal retaining member are preliminarily coupled with each other in a first coupling mode in which the holes of the terminal retaining member are aligned with the cavities of the housing. After the terminals having electric wires connected thereto have been inserted into the cavities through the holes, the terminal retaining member is shifted in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the terminals are inserted and then is further moved toward the housing to attain a second coupling mode. In the second coupling mode the terminals are engaged with portions of the terminal retaining member to prevent the terminals from being removed out of the housing.
