  • Patent number: 4946401
Abstract: A connecting block for electrically connecting a plug of a telephone set to a telephone line includes a base plate having a terminal for connection to the telephone line, a jack unit including a jack having an opening for inserting the plug thereinto, the jack unit having parallel side walls across the jack opening, a pair of parallel retaining members extending upwardly from side edges of the base plate for removably retaining the jack unit therebetween, and a cover for enclosing the retaining members, the jack unit and the terminal, the cover having a window to which the jack opening may be exposed. The arrangement of the jack unit and the retaining members is such that the jack opening may selectively extend parallel to the base plate or perpendicular thereto.

  • Patent number: 4917621
Abstract: A disconnectable electrical plug for use with a urological endoscope comprising a housing; a conductor; a connector; and an extension block keyed for insertion into a guide block of the endoscope. The extension block extends from the housing at a substantially right angle to the entry of the condutor into the housing and is insertable into the guide block in either a first or second position. A urological endoscope is provided comprising a guide block with an electrical plug channel with a first entry on a first lateral side and a second entry on a second lateral side such that an electrical plug can be connected directly to an electrode by mounting the plug in the channel in either the first or second side of the guide block.

  • Patent number: 4820179
Abstract: A multi-contact electrical connector for electrically connecting a plurality of wires to a printed circuit board. The electrical connector includes an open topped housing having a plurality of contact chambers, wire holding sections, and terminal receiving bores, with the terminal receiving bores intersecting lower portions of the contact chambers and extending in parallel to the wire holding sections. Each wire holding section includes a securing arrangement such that the wire placed therein is securely held, and each of the contact chambers accommodates a contact member having a pair of spaced pressing elements, with a space between the pressing elements being narrower than a diameter of a conductor in the wires so that the insulating cladding or cover of the wire is penetrated by side ridges of the pressing elements to allow the conductor of the wire to make an electrical contact with the contact member.

  • Patent number: 4682830
Abstract: A switch terminal for use in an electrical switch of the type having a conductive stationary contact penetrating through an insulating member. The switch terminal has a plurality of pairs of diametrically opposing holes. The pairs of holes are suitably spaced in the angular direction. In each pair, one of the holes is adapted to receive the stationary contact, while the other is adapted to receive the projection on the insulating member, thereby locating the switch terminal with respect to the insulating member, i.e., to the body of the switch. By a selective use of one of the pairs of holes, it is possible to obtain various orientations of the switch terminal with respect to the switch body.

  • Patent number: 4677329
Abstract: A connection arrangement for coupling a brush bearing sub-assembly to the stator field windings in an electric motor. The sub-assembly has a plate with a plurality of terminal blades extending perpendicularly, the blades being arranged in staggered pairs of one long blade and one short blade. The stator has corresponding pairs of connectors, staggered in accordance with the staggered terminal blades of the sub-assembly, with each connector including a resilient, omega-shaped conductive element. The corresponding staggered arrangement of the terminal blades and stator connectors provides for accurate coupling of the two, since the shape of the resilient connectors permits insertion from either a lateral or axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4671600
Abstract: Described herein is a power feeder for electromagnetic valves, comprising: a solenoid casing having male terminals for an exciting coil in a connecting section on one side wall thereof; a terminal plate having female terminals to be connected to said male terminals and relay terminals consisting of a pair of L-shaped pins electrically connected to the female terminals; and a cover attached to the connecting section in such a manner as to enclose the terminal plate on the connecting section and provided with at least one connector socket at a position opposing one arms of the L-shaped relay terminal pins. This power feeder arrangement permits to couple a connector to the terminal selectively from one of two perpendicularly intersecting directions and to universalize the male terminals of the solenoid as well as the terminal plate to be connected thereto.
