With Contact For Starting Switch Patents (Class 439/231)
  • Patent number: 7347705
Abstract: An adapter for a fluorescent is adapted to apply to cold cathode fluorescent tube on LED display and has a cover with two inner grooves and a switch portion having a track, a body slidably engaged with the cover, a metallic terminal stand attached to and controlled by the switch portion. The body has two rails correspondingly engaged with the grooves of the cover and has a recess for resting the fluorescent tube. The metallic terminal stand has two resilient arms close each other to perform a Y-shaped opening at distal ends and an oval expansion hole below the Y-shaped opening. When the cover is pushed to slide along the trail on the body, the track on the body with a narrow section presses abutting faces on the resilient arms and limits the expansion of the resilient arms on the metallic terminal stand so as to quickly and detachably clamp the fluorescent tube.

  • Patent number: 7170121
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a proximity I/O switch, which is configured to transfer data between the components in a computer system. This proximity I/O switch is comprised of multiple switch chips, which are coupled together through capacitive coupling. This enables the multiple switch chips to communicate with each other without being constrained by the limitations of conventional non-capacitive communication mechanisms. The multiple switch chips in the proximity I/O switch are also configured to communicate with components in the computer system through conventional non-capacitive communication mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 7033220
Abstract: A compact fluorescent lampholder includes a cap, a shell, an electric board and a base. The cap and the shell are combined together by hooking, and the electric board is combined with the base by plural pins, and then the electric board assembled together with the base is inserted in a hollow space of the shell. A compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is to be inserted in a groove in the base. Then wires are connected properly between the electric board and electric power so as to light up a CFL fitted in the base. The shell is easily separated from the cap to fall down a little owing to some spare preset length of the wires so it is convenient to replace a CFL or to repair the socket.

  • Patent number: 6531810
Abstract: The electric load comprises a carrier plate (1) of a synthetic resin material, at a first side (2) of which, synthetic resin projections (30) are present, which serve as a means for coupling the electric load to a holder. The projections (30) have a leg (31) with a disc, which faces away from the plate (1), and a channel (33) accommodating a current conductor (5) of a load element (4), which is present at a first side (3) of the plate (1). The disc has a circumferential side face (35), which is covered with an electric conductor (20) as a contact, to which a respective current conductor (5) is connected. The electric load, for example a fluorescent lamp switch, is of a simple construction that can be manufactured at low costs.

  • Patent number: 6322381
Abstract: A lampholder for use with cold cathode lamps intended to be wired in a parallel configuration includes an insulating bulb-end receptacle mounted in a conductor housing. The receptacle is divided into a pair of individual bulb-end receiving portions, each of which is provided with a conductive clip which establishes electrical contact with an inserted bulb. At least one of the clips is in two sections which are configured as switch contacts in series with the mains side of a ballast for the lamps. Insertion of a lamp into the clip closes the switch contacts, establishing the mains circuit and allowing high-voltage to be generated and applied to the lamps. The lampholder insures that high-voltage is not produced unless a lamp is in place.

  • Patent number: 5816837
Abstract: A fluorescent-lamp socket assembly has a socket, a standard base, and a starter base. The socket has a nonconductive housing having an open end and a pair of conductors in the housing engageable with contact pins of a lamp fitted to the housing and exposed in the open housing end. The standard base is shaped to fit complementarily into and close the open housing end and is formed with throughgoing holes through which wires can be engaged with the conductors. The starter base has a one-piece nonconductive housing having a plug end shaped to fit complementarily into and close the open housing end and an opposite end adapted to hold a starter and a conductor inside the starter-base housing for connecting a starter in the opposite end with one of the conductors in the socket.

  • Patent number: 5362246
Abstract: A fluorescent adaptor designed to engage incandescent light bulb sockets such as the typical threaded socket, has movable parts which house all or part of the ballast. The parts are slidably or pivotally connected, and move into a low-profile configuration permitting the unit to be rotated into place in a confined space meant for a light bulb Subsequent to installation, the parts are expanded again to permit insertion of a fluorescent tube in its optimal position and orientation in the fixture.
