  • Patent number: 5888096
Abstract: A shielded electrical connector having a housing and a cover each of which are formed by inmoulding an insulative portion respectively within a respective outer shield portion. Terminals are mounted within the housing and the housing and cover are joined together. Shielding characteristics are improved by a carrier strip interconnecting the shielding of adjacent connectors within a connector stack. Further shielding improvements are recognized by incorporating a contact surface external the shielding for engaging an outer reference terminal. The connector includes terminals having a floatable contact portion and a support feature for preventing damage to the terminals as a result of stubbing with a mating terminal. The connector being impedance matched to the cable.

  • Patent number: 5855675
Abstract: A processing station adaptable to standard cluster tools has a vertically-translatable pedestal having an upper wafer-support surface including a heater plate adapted to be plugged into a unique feedthrough in the pedestal. At a lower position for the pedestal wafers may be transferred to and from the processing station, and at an upper position for the pedestal the pedestal forms an annular pumping passage with a lower circular opening in a processing chamber. A removable, replaceable ring at the lower opening of the processing chamber allows process pumping speed to be tailored for different processes by replacing the ring. In some embodiments the pedestal also has a surrounding shroud defining an annular pumping passage around the pedestal. A unique two-zone heater plate is adapted to the top of the pedestal, and connects to a unique feedthrough allowing heater plates to be quickly and simply replaced.

  • Patent number: 5795170
Abstract: A female terminal for waterproof connector which is so filled with resin-material that water or the like can not permeate the inside of a terminal receiving chamber of a connector housing, and a resin-filled waterproof connector which is inserted into the waterproof connector so that it prevents an outflow of the resin-material toward an electric contacting section. The female terminal includes the electrical contacting section 6 with a contacting spring piece 12, and the electrical wire connected section following the electrical contacting section, in order to prevent the resin material from outflow toward the side of electrical contacting section 6, the closed section which blocks the terminal receiving chamber 4a of the connector housing 2 containing the female terminal is formed between the electrical contacting section and the electrical wire connected section 8. The closed section 7 is so integrally formed that it becomes box-shape.

  • Patent number: 5611717
Abstract: A terminal comprises an inner contact and an outer body. The inner contact is U-shaped and has a spring section positioned between a connection section and a contact section for resilient longitudinal movement of the contact section with respect to the connection section for preventing fretting corrosion. The spring section is comprised within side walls and a bottom wall whereby this U-shape is easy to stamp and form thereby increasing the ease of manufacture, which is particularly important from miniature terminals.

  • Patent number: 5334035
Abstract: A plug connector may include an electrically insulated contact holder and a plug contact or contact element located in a contact chamber of the contact holder. The plug connector may be configured as a multi-pole plug connector exhibiting a plurality of contact chambers and contact elements. A plug contact or contact element may have an outwardly curving annular bead and may be configured as a bearing support with an annular groove in the contact chamber. The annular groove may be configured to complement the contour of the annular bead. The annular groove may be located in the terminal area on the connection side of a contact chamber. Alternatively, the annular groove may be located in the contact element and the annular bead may be disposed in the contact chamber. The plug connector may be manufactured without a water tight connection, if desired.
