  • Patent number: 10714856
Abstract: An electrical connector is used for a plug having multiple pins to downward insert therein. The electrical connector includes a body provided with multiple accommodating holes running through an upper surface and a lower surface of the body; and multiple terminals correspondingly accommodated in the accommodating holes. Upper ends of the terminals are located at a same height, and lower ends of the terminals are located at a same height. Each terminal has two contact arms opposite and close to each other. The terminals include a first terminal and a second terminal. The two contact arms of the first terminal and the two contact arms of the second terminal are located at different heights and correspondingly used for the pins to insert downward therein successively. Thus, signal interference between the terminals can be reduced, and a maximum insertion force of the plug inserted into the electrical connector is reduced.

The infusion systems may include one or more fluid couplings used to make fluidic connection between a supply line and delivery tubing. The fluid couplings separate the functions of providing a seal around a delivery tube and retaining the delivery tube within the fluid coupling. The seal provided around the delivery tube prevents leakage around an exterior surface of a delivery tube such that fluid passing through the coupling must pass through the delivery tube rather than leak around the delivery tube. The structure used to retain the delivery tube in the fluid coupling prevents ejection of the delivery tube from the coupling due to the fluid pressures present in the coupling. The separate functions are performed by different structures within the fluid couplings.

  • Patent number: 8841919
Abstract: A repairable waterproof connector assembly (200) provides an access port (212) within the connector housing (201) to support wire management required for removal and reinstallation of the electrical insert (202) which can be achieved without removing the connector assembly (200) from its cable. Adding this access capability greatly reduces the time required to repair a damaged connector assembly (200). Wire management within the connector assembly (200) includes manipulating a wiring service loop (207) via access provided by the access port (212). Wire management supports access to reposition, remove, test and repair the electrical insert (202) having electrical pins and contacts (211). In applications requiring waterproof connectors, having the ability to test and repair the connector assembly without removing or cutting it from its cable is a significant timesaver and reduces cost.

  • Patent number: 8691066
Abstract: A current collector wire (1) is over-moulded with a seal (2) made from a thermoplastic elastomer (Santoprene 64) having a (64) Shore A hardness rating. In a three electrode carbon monoxide sensor three current collector wire (1a, 1b, 1c) and seal (2a, 2b, 2c) combinations are inserted into the body (3) through receiving apertures (12a, 12b, 12c) in a side wall of the body, so that the current collectors protrude through connection apertures (12a, 12b and 12c). The outside diameters of the seals and the bores of the apertures are dimensioned to provide an interference fit of the one in the other. The seals are pressed home into receiving apertures in the body (3) to provide compression of the seals against both current collectors and the aperture bores resultant from the interference. Gold-plated phosphor bronze clips (8) are attached which locate on and are retained by barbs on the housing, thereby trapping the current collector wires and providing electrical contact to external circuitry.

  • Patent number: 8215962
Abstract: A waterproof, swivel feature secondary plug and socket device suitable for use within a construction setting, for placement within an extension cord between an originating power source and a user end tool. The device allows a rotational movement between the plug and socket components such that cord twisting and buckling is eliminated, and strain on an operator is reduced. The device provides protection against cord damage or operator injury because, when too great a longitudinal traction force is applied along the cord, as when a cord becomes entrapped during use, the frictional fit between the plug and socket component allows an automatic separation of the unit with immediate withdrawal of electrical power from the cord.
