  • Patent number: 8354760
Abstract: Power supply equipment includes low power assemblies and high power assemblies, each of which is detachably mateable to either one of two power ports. To simultaneously power two low power devices, low power assemblies are respectively mated to each of the power ports. To simultaneously power one low power and one high power device, a low power assembly is mated to one of the power ports and a high power assembly is mated to the other power port. The low power assemblies transfer a low DC voltage, but not a high DC voltage, to low power devices. The high power assemblies transfer a high DC voltage, but not a low DC voltage, to high power devices. If a high power assembly is mated to each of the power ports, power flow is interrupted without putting the power supply in an overvoltage or overcurrent condition.

  • Publication number: 20100184319
Abstract: A novel electrical connector that is thin and can hold a belt-like body. The electrical connector has two kinds of contact elements. When an actuator is rotated, an operation section of the actuator presses one connector element downward, and force from the one connector element causes the rotation shaft of the actuator to move upward. As a result, a portion near one end of a bar-like section, supported in air, of the other contact element is elastically deformed upward. By the principle of leverage, a portion near the other end of a bar-like section of the other contact element is moved downward.

  • Patent number: 5035635
Abstract: A revolving safety socket of the present invention has a uniquely-designed stand, which serves as a switching device. It consists mainly of a circular hole in the case cover and a circular recess in the case base. Located between the circular hole and the circular recess is a revolving stand having receptacles therein. When the socket is not in use, the conductive member of the revolving stand is not in contact with the copper clip which is connected to the power supply. Only when a plug is inserted into the revolving stand, which is then rotated for a 90-degree angle, would the conductive member become engaged with the copper clip to permit the power supply to be on. Additionally, the socket has the reversed L-shaped fasteners to hold the protruded block of the plug firmly in place, ensuring that the plug can not be accidentally pulled out of the socket.
