  • Patent number: 8905778
Abstract: The present invention relates to a contacting assembly for conductors that are present on flat structures, in particular glass panels, and have a contact point in the connection section. According to the invention, an end of a connecting cable or of another connecting means, for example, a connecting plug, is connected electrically and mechanically to a pad made of a conductive nonwoven fabric. The connecting cable thus assembled is introduced into a casting block which is open on one side and which has a frame that is provided with adhesive and encloses the nonwoven fabric. The surface of the conductive nonwoven fabric which is delimited laterally by the frame is matched to the area of the contact point, in order to produce, via an adhesive bond between the frame and the flat structure, a contacting connection created by surface pressing between the contact point and the nonwoven fabric surface, wherein the frame together with the casting body seals the contact point with respect to the surrounding area.

  • Patent number: 7481665
Abstract: A connector has a male housing (10) with a hood (12) and a female housing (20) that can be telescoped into the hood (12). The female housing (20) has an elastic hold-down piece (38) that elastically contacts the male housing (10) at an angle to a direction in which the housings (10; 20) are telescoped together. An elastic pressing force of the elastic hold-down piece (38) prevents housings (10) and (20) from shaking at an angle to the fit-in direction. The elastic hold-down piece (38) is made of the synthetic resin and has a small elastic deformation amount. Thus, the elastic hold-down piece (38) has a higher effect than an elastic hold-down piece made of rubber in preventing shaking.

  • Patent number: 7264497
Abstract: Described are a method and apparatus for keeping a power cord plugged into a plug receptacle. A bracket has a plurality of sidewalls that define an opening sized to frame the plug receptacle of an electronics housing. A first sidewall has an opening therein and a second sidewall has a lock mechanism. The bracket is coupled to the electronics housing so that the first and second sidewalls of the bracket are on opposite sides of the plug receptacle. A cable tie is coupled at the first end to an anchor point near the first sidewall of the bracket. The cable tie has sufficient length to extend from the anchor point through the opening in the first sidewall of the bracket and, after looping around a cord of a power cord that is plugged into the plug receptacle, to couple at the second end to the lock mechanism of the second sidewall of the bracket.
