    Abstract: Connector assemblies for use in wiring/cabling applications are disclosed. The connector assemblies include first and second jack openings that facilitate interaction between plugs that feature different contact layouts/alignments, e.g., a first plug that features a conventional CAT 5/CAT 6 contact layout and a second plug that features a contact layout according to the IEC 60603-7-7 standard. Cable/plug combinations are also provided wherein the cable features shielded twisted pair (STP) fully shielded twisted pair (FTP) and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wires. The cable/plug interface includes a housing wherein individual wires are brought into electrical communication with electrical contacts that are exposed relative to the exterior of the housing. The electrical contacts are positioned in quadrants of the plug housing, when viewed in cross-section, such that the plug complies with the contact geometry set forth in the IEC 60603-7-7 standard.

    Abstract: A cable control assembly is beneficially adapted for shifting controllable mechanisms, such as a power take-off unit, between two conditions, an initial position and an actuated position. The cable control assembly preferably includes a housing, a handle extending from the housing, a driving member, a driven member, and a locking member such as a pawl. Upon shifting of the handle from an initial position to an actuated position, the driving member shifts the driven member, which is operatively coupled to the control cable. Upon reaching the actuated position, the locking member holds the driven member in the actuated position without transmitting a tensioning force applied to the control cable to the driving member. Return of the driving member in a direction toward the initial position automatically causes the locking member to move free of the driven member and enable return of the driven member and control cable to the initial position without other unlocking steps.

    Abstract: A connector includes a housing and a required number of pusher members. The housing has a fitting aperture into which two or at least three flexible printed circuit boards are inserted and insertion openings for holding the required number of the pusher members. When the two or at least three flexible printed circuit boards are inserted into the fitting aperture of the housing, contact portions of the two or at least three flexible printed circuit boards are urged by the pusher members so as to be connected to each other to achieve electrical continuity of the connector. With this construction, the connector can be mounted on anywhere with the exception of a flexible printed circuit board as by adhesion or pushing down by a frame of the set without using soldering, thereby permitting low cost manufacture and wide freedom of selection of connector mechanisms.
