  • Patent number: 7462417
Abstract: An electrical connection structure, and a secondary battery pack using the same are disclosed. The structure comprises an electrical connection member which includes an insulating body for insulating a PCM from a battery cell, and cathode and anode leads mounted on the insulating body in a state of being electrically insulated from each other. One or both of the cathode and anode leads are welded to associated electrode terminals of the battery cell. The cathode and anode leads are connected in a contact state to associated electrode taps of the PCM when engaging the PCM to the battery cell. The connection structure allows only the electrode leads to be welded to the battery cell, and allows the electrode terminals to be connected to the electrode taps through contact without an additional welding operation, thereby remarkably reducing the number of assembling steps, lowering manufacturing costs and preventing malfunction.

  • Patent number: 7431610
Abstract: A cable slack management system is used in conjunction with a conventional component rack to secure cables of excess length to minimize disturbance, interference, and general clutter that the excess cable length would otherwise cause. In one implementation, the cable slack management system includes a slack management panel that is attached to two opposing vertical members of a rack to extend horizontally between the members as a cross-member of the rack. If more than one cable slack management system is installed in a rack, typically the slack management panels are placed between component panels in some alternating fashion. In an alternative implementation, the slack management panels are vertically oriented, and are typically mounted adjacent to a rack. The cable slack management system also includes one or more cable spools for each slack management panel. The cable spools allow cable to be wrapped around them thereby securing the cable.

  • Patent number: 7238889
Abstract: The present invention is a stay for retaining cables or other long, flexible structures in a coiled or bundled condition. The stay retains an end of the cable in an shape in which the end is wrapped around the coil or bundle when desired, such that a user of the cable can wrap the end of the cable around the coil or bundle and have the end retained in such position without having to knot the end to keep it wrapped around the cable or bundle. The stay may use a ductile or malleable element oriented along an end of the cable, such that the cable end to which the stay is affixed may be bent into a position in which the end is wrapped around a cable coil or bundle. The stay may use a helical form such that an end of a cable forms a helical shape, such that helical shape may be wrapped around a cable coil or bundle to retain the end around the coil or bundle.

Abstract: A cord holding device and method of use. An embodiment of the device includes a sheet of material having a turned end. The turned end is selectively positionable between a closed orientation and an open orientation. In the open orientation, an opening is formed between the turned end and the sheet to allow for the cord to be inserted within an interior section. In the closed orientation, the turned end wraps around the cord to retain it within the device. A method of using the device comprises mounting the device to a position to receive the cord. A holding section is unturned an amount to allow for the cord to be inserted within the interior section of the holding section. After cord insertion, the holding section re-turns and wraps around the cord.
