The connector plug includes a casing carrying a number of contact elements attached to conductors of the cable for engaging corresponding contact elements connected to a matching jack, and the tensile string is anchored relative to the casing via an annular element mounted at the end of the cable. A transverse pin is firmly attached to the tensile string of the cable and positively engages the annular element. The annular element has a rim portion with a bigger outer diameter than an outer cross sectional dimension of the cable so as to engage an internal shoulder on the casing and enable transfer of axial load from the tensile string of the cable to the casing and further to a connected matching jack via the transverse pin and the annular element.

Abstract: A triaxial connector release tool comprising an outer housing and an inner appliance. The shape and size of appliance is adapted to fit concentrically within the housing of the tool. The appliance is pivotally mounted to the housing of the tool about a tab. In use, the tool is placed over the female and male triaxial connectors whereby a first end of the housing rests against an annular shoulder of a connector to provide resistance when the tool is in use. A user grasps the tool about the housing and exerts an inward squeezing force so that a pair of flanges of the appliance depress the protrusions of the locking mechanism of the male connector until they are disengaged from the apertures of the female connector and allowing the male connector to easily slide back out of the female connector.

Abstract: A dual channel XLR cable converter is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the XLR cable converter includes first and second RCA cables terminating at first and second RCA cable connectors at one end and a XLR cable connector at the opposing end. A first signal pin terminal of the XLR cable connector is in electrical communication with the first signal wire of the first RCA cable. A second signal pin terminal of the XLR connector is in electrical communication with the second signal wire of the second RCA cable. A common ground pin terminal of the XLR cable connector is in electrical communication with the first grounding wire of the first RCA cable and a second grounding wire of the second RCA cable. Therefore, the XLR cable converter can be used for conveying single channel RCA cable signals over dual channel XLR cable.
