  • Patent number: 11742607
Abstract: The present invention provides a connector housing assembly and a charging socket connector. The connector housing assembly has a housing configured to support a connection terminal; and a lock received in a chamber of the housing. The lock is movably installed in the housing and is adapted to be moved between a pre-locking position and a final locking position; the lock is provided with a blocking structure configured to lock the connection terminal when the lock is moved to the final locking position; the housing is provided with an operation port communicated with the chamber, and the lock is pushed to move between the pre-locking position and the final locking position by a tool inserted into the chamber through the operation port. Compared with the prior art, the assembly process of the connector housing assembly of the present invention is simple, and the productivity is effectively improved. A blind plug may be located in the operation port when the tool is removed from the port.

Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a connector body, a plurality of conductive wires connected to the connector body, and a housing enclosing the conductive wires. The housing is fabricated by direct molding on the connector body so that the fabricated housing is directly fixed to the connector body. During molding of the housing in a mold cavity, a plurality of slots arranged in the connector body communicate with the interior of the mold cavity in which a molding compound is introduced to fabricate the housing. The molding compound therefore flows into the slots of the connector body, so that the fabricated housing encloses the conductive wires and is fixedly attached to the connector body by engaging into the slots thereof.

Abstract: The invention provides a divided connector wherein the engaging force of a lock is not weakened when a sub connector housing and a frame are separated by a jig. Locking members 13 are formed in a cantilevered shape. Free ends 13B thereof engage with engaging edges 14A of lock receiving members 14, thereby maintaining a sub connector housing 4 and a frame 5 in an unremovable state. A guiding groove 21 is formed, in an anterior-posterior direction, at the centre of each lock receiving member 14, and a portion of each free end 13B corresponding to the guiding groove 21 forms a jig contacting region 25. An engaging region 24 is formed to the left and right of each jig contacting region 25, these engaging regions 24 engaging with the engaging edges 14A. Since a lock releasing jig 26 makes contact with the jig contacting region 25, this lock releasing jig 26 does not damage the engaging regions 24.

Abstract: The present invention provides a connector assembly including a connector for use in electrically connecting a surgical instrument to a power source, such as a generator. The connector generally includes an outer shell with a plurality of first and second electrical conductors disposed within the outer shell for providing the electrical connection between the surgical instrument and a cable leading to the power source. In one aspect of the present invention, the connector includes an isolation barrier disposed within the outer shell so as to separate each of the first electrical conductors from each of the second electrical conductors. In another aspect, the connector includes a keying feature in which the outer surface of the outer shell is modified so as to ensure that the connector may only be plugged into the generator a single way. This reduces the risk that the electrical conductors may be bent due to improper orientation during the insertion action.
