Abstract: An adapter for connecting an LED light fixture to the threaded, screw-in socket of an Edison lamp holder. The adapter includes lever arms that toggle between a horizontal position and an inclined position. The inclined position of the lever arms poses a small outside diameter so the adapter can be inserted into the Edison socket without catching any of the socket threads. When fully seated inside the Edison socket, the lever arms are pushed into the horizontal position. A central core translating within the shell when pushed to the top position inside the shell locks the lever arms in the horizontal position. The lever arms when locked in the horizontal position define an outsider diameter larger than the internal diameter of the Edison socket to wedge the adapter therein.

  • Patent number: 7033220
Abstract: A compact fluorescent lampholder includes a cap, a shell, an electric board and a base. The cap and the shell are combined together by hooking, and the electric board is combined with the base by plural pins, and then the electric board assembled together with the base is inserted in a hollow space of the shell. A compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is to be inserted in a groove in the base. Then wires are connected properly between the electric board and electric power so as to light up a CFL fitted in the base. The shell is easily separated from the cap to fall down a little owing to some spare preset length of the wires so it is convenient to replace a CFL or to repair the socket.

Abstract: Motorcycle helmet communications cables connecting substantially all models of cellular telephones to a “CHATTERBOX” HJC-GMRS X1 rider-to-rider motorcycle helmet communication system. A length of audio cable is provided with a 3.5 mm stereo plug at one end designed to engage the auxiliary input jack of the motorcycle helmet communication system. At the second end of the cable a 2.5 mm stereo plug is provided for engagement with the hands-free outlet of any cellular telephone. The first plug includes four co-axial contacts for engaging contacts within the auxiliary-input jack of the communication system. The second plug has only three co-axial contacts for engaging contacts in the hands-free jack of most cellular telephones. The internal wire connections between the contacts of the first plug and the contacts of the second plug are selected to enable most cellular phones with hands-free jacks to operate with the HJC-GMRS X1 rider-to-rider motorcycle helmet communication system.

Abstract: A lamp fitting structure having a small depth dimension can include a socket for fixing a wedge-base lamp. The socket can include an insertion portion for receiving and fitting a fixed portion of the lamp therein, a peripheral portion and a rear end portion on the back face, all integrally formed. An opening can be provided which penetrates through from the insertion portion to the rear end portion. The socket does not require an electrical feed terminal for electrical connection, and only performs fixation of the inserted lamp A connector can be fitted into the opening in the rear end portion, for electrically connecting the feed terminal disposed in the connector to a lead wire of the wedge-base lamp. By inserting and fitting the connector into the socket from the rear end portion thereof the fixation between the wedge-base lamp and the socket can be made more secure.
