    Abstract: An exemplary connector insert assembly, and methods of manufacture and use thereof. In one embodiment, the connector insert assembly comprises an insert body assembly consisting of two insert body elements made from a high-temperature polymer. The insert body assembly includes an electronic component receiving cavity that is configured to receive any number of electronic components, including without limitation, chip chokes and wire wound electronic components. The insert body assembly includes a wire termination feature that includes termination slots that position the wire ends of the wire wound electronic components adjacent to a substrate to which the wire ends are ultimately to be secured. The wire ends are then secured to the substrate using, for example, a mass termination technique. The aforementioned connector insert assembly can then be inserted into a single or multi-port connector assembly. Methods of manufacturing the aforementioned single or multi-port connector assemblies are also disclosed.

    Abstract: An electronic circuit storage case includes a housing made of resin and having a case portion storing an electronic circuit board and a connector portion extending in a direction perpendicular to a board attachment surface of the case portion and incorporating a connector. Interior and exterior opening holes communicate at bottoms via a communication hole. A ventilating hole continuing from the interior of the case portion to the exterior of the connector portion is provided in a solid portion of the housing. The interior opening hole and the communication hole are bent in an L shape and provided to a primary resin mold part forming the housing. The exterior opening hole is provided to a secondary resin mold part of the housing enclosing the primary resin mold part and forming the connector and case portions so as to communicate with one end of the L-shaped communication hole substantially perpendicularly.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a main housing, an inner housing assembled in the main housing, and a plurality of conductive terminals of which each has a fastening arm molded in the inner housing, a contact arm and a touching arm perpendicular to the contact arm. The contact arms are apart arranged along a transverse direction in front of the inner housing. The touching arms are apart arranged along a longitudinal direction at one side of the inner housing. In use, the touching arms of the conductive terminals are elastically against and further pressed downward by a circuit board to realize electrical connection with the circuit board. It is rather short-time and convenient for mounting the circuit board to the electrical connector. Moreover, the touching arms of the conductive terminals are easily removed from the circuit board for the convenience of replacing the electrical connector when it doesn't work.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic shield comprises a sheet of metal having slots along an edge of the sheet to form a plurality of resilient fingers. The single sheet is bent around first and second bends axes inwardly and approximately ninety degrees to form a top planar surface and first and second side walls. The single sheet of metal is sized and dimensioned to receive a connector in between the first and second side walls and top planar surface. The fingers are bent outward with a bend radius of approximately 0.020 inches with respect to a flat surface of the sidewalls and top planar surface. The fingers apply a biasing force against a surface of a faceplate. Each of the side walls includes an elongated leg, which is interconnected with a circuit board and each of the elongated legs extends beyond a bottom edge of each of the side walls.
