  • Patent number: 8939797
Abstract: A connection system establishes an electrical connection between an electrical device and at least one pair of cables each of which ends with a cable terminal. The connection system comprises a fixed part including a support base adapted to be rigidly fitted to a wall of the electrical device and, for each cable, a connection screw protruding from the support base and electrically connectable to the electrical device. A mobile part includes a perimeter frame adapted to be mechanically fitted to the support base and having a passage wall defining, for each cable, a passage-through hole through which an end part of the cable passes so that the corresponding cable terminal is disposed inside the perimeter frame and aligned with the respective connection screw when the perimeter frame is mechanically fitted to the support base.

  • Patent number: 7994416
Abstract: A set of electrical connector pins for a thermocouple includes two materially similar conductor pairs, each conductor pair having conductors composed of a different material, and carried by an electrically insulating connector housing. The different materials of the conductor pairs provide a partial compensation to the thermocouple EMF developed between the hot junction and the cold junction when engaged thereto for the different type thermocouples. The conductors of each pair are operable to engage with two thermoelement conductors that form a thermocouple of differing types. The thermocouples provide a hot junction electrical interconnection therebetween at one end and are coupled to a cold junction at another end.

Abstract: A wiring device assembly with one or more electrical contacts having respective contact stabilizing assemblies which are operable to rigidly hold the electrical contacts in a device housing. The contact stabilizing assemblies prevent the contacts from becoming displaced within the housing under vibrational, rotational and other stresses. The contact stabilizing assemblies are connected to the electrical contacts and fit in housing channels specifically shaped to accommodate the stabilizing assemblies.

  • Patent number: 7591675
Abstract: A conversion connector supports a suspended lamp, and which can threadily engage within the socket of a recessed lighting fixture, provides for an instant conversion of a recessed light or ceiling socket to a hanging lamp, for installation within any facility. The single male conversion connector has a threaded sleeve located axially upon an insulator. The insulator electrically connects to the wires of a hanging lamp. The insulator fits securely within a base fastened to a housing where the threaded sleeve extends outwardly from the housing for turning into a recessed light fixture, generally an incandescent light socket. The connector provides a housing that orients the connector upwardly for installation. Such a connector can be easily removed by unthreading the sleeve from the socket and the lamp can be replaced with another, or a different reflector, or shade, to add to the uses and displays associated with a variety of suspended and hanging lamps.

  • Patent number: 4836805
Abstract: The present invention teaches a novel device that electrically connects conductors from a cable to the electrical contacts of a plug by means of a single fastener. The device comprises a shell, a plug assembly carried by the shell. The plug assembly is capable of mating engagement with other electrical contacts and has receiving means for receiving electrical conductors. A single fastener holds the terminals of the conductors in electrical connection with the electrical contacts. The single fastener includes a movable carriage on which is mounted a nut through which a screw is threaded with a head with a flange that is engaged with the wall of the plug assembly so that when the screw is rotated, the carriage moves so as to decrease or enlarge a chamber in which the conductor terminals and a portion of the electrical contacts are situated.
