Patent number: 5215480Abstract: Low voltage electric switchgear equipment includes a central processor unit electrically interconnected with electronic main and branch circuit interrupters within the same enclosure and used within a multi-phase power distribution circuit. A terminal connector block is connected by cable with each of the electronic trip units within the branch circuit interrupters to provide communications between the branch circuit interrupters and the main circuit interrupter for continuously updating the status of the branch circuit interrupters and their associated electrical equipment. Strain relief is provided to the cable connecting between the terminal connector block and the branch circuit interrupter to prevent damage to the electrical components within the electronic trip unit that are internally connected with the cable.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1992Date of Patent: June 1, 1993Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: David J. Patent number: 4968260Abstract: A unitary, compact telecommunications interface adapter system. The adapter system comprises a bifurcated housing structure enclosing a modular connector and associated elements. The housing structure has a plug end constructed and arranged for connection to a BIX-type telecommunications interface. The adapter further has an internal printed circuit board interface between the modular connector and a plurality of contact blades which are connected to and which extend horizontally beyond the perimeter of the printed circuit board through channels to expose the blades for contact outside the housing structure at the plug end. The telecommunications interface adapter system additionally comprises a support structure which has top and bottom spacially parallel extension members integrally formed with the housing structure at the plug end and which are disposed respectively above and below the contact blades.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1989Date of Patent: November 6, 1990Assignee: Independent Technologies, Inc.Inventor: David L.
