Abstract: A circuit board connector has a fixing member (20; 32; 42; 52) for a housing (10) on a circuit board (K). Engaging portions (24) of the fixing member (20; 32; 42; 52) are bent to increase the areas of engaging surfaces (25) in the thickness direction (TD). Thus, contact areas between the engaging portions (24) and restricting surfaces (14) of the housing (10) increase, and forces acting on the contact surfaces are distributed. Accordingly, even if large separating forces repeatedly act on a housing (10), damage and to the engaging portions (24) and restricting surfaces (14) can be prevented.

Abstract: Electrical connectors are adapted to provide a reliable electrical connection to mating elements of a mating connector. The connector can have sockets that accept mating elements of the mating connector. Conductors of the connector are associated with each socket and make electrical contact with mating elements received therein. A loading band of the connector is tensioned to provide a contact force between the conductor and the mating element when the mating connector is in the socket. Electrical connectors constructed in this manner can provide increased current density and/or a more reliable connection between the conductors and the mating element.

Abstract: An electrical connector box structure that provides external visual indication of an incompletely assembled position of a press fit bus bar. A wire crimping portion is provided on one side of a base plate of press fit bus bar, and terminals, which project from the other side of the base plate, are provided for connection to electrical components. The bus bar also includes a lock aperture that locks the bus bar into a bus bar chamber, and a stop flange formed as an outwardly bent portion located beneath the lock aperture. A flexible flange, on which a lock ridge is formed, opposes stop flange. The incomplete insertion of bus bar results in stop flange failing to move over the lock ridge, thus pressing flexible flange outward in the direction opposite to the lock ridge to provide visual indication of the incomplete insertion condition.
