  • Patent number: 6965092
Abstract: An apparatus and method and processing a semiconductor substrate that controls heating of the substrate to thereby control the depth of the junctions formed by impurities implanted in the semiconductor substrate by heating a device side of the semiconductor substrate to a reference temperature and heating the device side of the semiconductor substrate to a heat activation temperature that is greater than the reference temperature for an activation period, which provides sufficient energy to activate the impurities so that they become part of the lattice structure of the substrate while minimizing diffusion of the impurities across the substrate and reducing the temperature gradient in the substrate to minimize stress in the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6449419
Abstract: An optical viewing assembly and system for transferring image information from one image modifying device to another image modifying device. The optical viewing assembly includes a first image modifying device connected to a second image modifying device through a quick-release clamping arrangement. The clamping arrangement includes first and second clamping portions integrally formed at opposite ends of a hollow sleeve. Each clamping portion has a split collar that is adapted to receive one of the image modifying devices. Each collar includes a pair of clamping legs that are separated from the sleeve by a slot that extends at least part way around a perimeter of the sleeve to thereby permit movement of the clamping legs toward and away from each other. Movement of the clamping legs toward each other reduces a cross dimension of the split collar to thereby clamp one of the image modifying devices therein.

  • Patent number: 6202300
Abstract: A method and apparatus for electrical grounding of metallic vehicular components incorporates a conductive clamping mechanism. The conductive clamping mechanism includes a first portion having an housing defining an opening. The housing rotatably carries an externally threaded member. A conductive band has a first end fixedly attached to the clamping mechanism and a second end adjustably associated with the threaded member. Rotation of the threaded member adjusts the second end of the band relative to the first end to thereby tighten the band around the metallic vehicular component. A grounding strap having a width substantially greater than a height interconnects a ground surface of the vehicle with a second portion of the clamping mechanism. The second portion is preferably unitarily formed with the housing and is adapted to crimp the end of the strap.
