With Movably Attached User Manipulated Locking, Contact Retaining, Or Spring Spreading Means Patents (Class 439/832)
  • Patent number: 8240890
Abstract: A lamp holder includes a holder body. The holder body includes a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a first side surface and a second side surface arranged between the first surface and the second surface. The holder body defines a first groove and a second groove at the first side surface of the holder body. The first groove and the second groove communicate with the first and second surfaces of the holder body. The first groove and the second groove are configured for receiving connectors of a lamp. A fool-proofing member is arranged at a first bottom surface of the first groove.

  • Patent number: 7452230
Abstract: An electrical cord plug assembly for inhibiting the removal of an inserted male electrical cord plug having at least one exposed electrical contact is disclosed. The device comprises a housing, a retention member, a biasing member, and a user actuation member. The retention member is movable between an engaged position, where the retention member engages an opening in the electrical contact of the male plug, and a disengaged position where the retention member disengages from the opening. The biasing member biases the retention member towards the engaged position. In the engaged position, the male plug is substantially inhibited from removal from the plug assembly. The actuation member engages the biasing member so as to allow a user to move the retention member to the disengaged position.

  • Patent number: 4971582
Abstract: A reject type fuse clip for use with a cartridge type fuse having a grooved ferrule includes a fuse clip having a pair of upstanding clamping arms and a reject member disposed therebetween. The upstanding clamping arms of the fuse clip are provided with a receptor means, such as a web formed therein by a pair of slots, which is adapted for engagement by the reject member. The reject member includes a pair of spaced shoulder portions, with each shoulder portion having a slot in its underside adapted to engage the web members provided on each upstanding clamping arm of the fuse clip. The slots are configured so that the web member flexes during insertion into the slot, after which the reject member may not be removed from the fuse clip without damage to either the reject member or the fuse clip. A lead connecting collar is formed integrally with the fuse clip.

  • Patent number: 4752962
Abstract: Loudspeaker unit including a frame (FIG. 2) serving as sound guide to which the loudspeaker chassis (FIG. 1) is releasably fastened. According to the invention, form-locking cooperating detent means (4-6, 29-31) are provided on the frame and on the loudspeaker chassis. The loudspeaker chassis can be inserted into the frame by means of a relative translatory movement and can be removed by a rotational movement. Thus it becomes possible to install the loudspeaker in the frame and remove the loudspeaker from the frame by means of automatic machinery.

  • Patent number: 4671588
Abstract: An L-shaped member (20) is secured adjacent a fuse clip (12) to extend forwardly along one side of a fuse (F) received in that fuse clip. A flexible insulating strap (24) is secured to the outer end of the forwardly projecting post (20a) to lie within a groove (20e) in the post and extend rearwardly around the back side of the fuse and then forwardly along an opposite lateral side of the fuse. Pulling the free end of the strap (24) upwardly or forwardly causes that end of the fuse to be rolled forwardly of the fuse clip with a mechanical advantage.
