    Abstract: A female electrical terminal includes a generally planar base member formed of a first conductive material. The base member includes a connection portion configured to electrically and mechanically contact with a corresponding male electrical terminal. The base member further includes an attachment portion configured to be attached to a wire cable. The female electrical terminal also includes a cover member that is formed of a second conductive material. The cover member longitudinally encircles the connection portion and defines a biasing member depending from the cover member and into a cavity formed by the cover member. The biasing member is configured to bias the male electrical terminal into electrical and frictional contact with the connection portion of the base member of the female electrical terminal. A method of producing such female terminal assemblies wherein the cover members are interconnected by a carrier strip is also provided.

The copper-containing alloy contains 40 to 80% by weight of copper and 20 to 60% by weight of zinc. The combined percentage by weight of copper and zinc in the second layer is at least 90%. A third layer containing tin may be disposed between the second layer and the copper sheet. A fourth layer containing zinc may be disposed on a side of the first layer opposite the second layer.

    Abstract: A hyperboloid contact socket comprises a tubular body of conductive material having at one end an entrance aperture and cavity for receiving a mating pin terminal, and an integral termination extending from the opposite end of the tubular body. The tubular body contains a plurality of conductive wires attached at their inner ends to the inner surface of the tubular body at or near the bottom of the cavity by a press fit plug. The outer ends of the conductive wires are fastened to the tubular body by being wrapped around a reduced diameter section at the open end of the tubular body and secured by a press fit ring. The conductive wires are disposed within the tubular body in an angular disposition to form the shape of a single sheet hyperboloid.

The biasing component also urges the outer skirt against the adjacent opening-defining inner wall of the shell. The active seal functions as a barrier between the conductive pin and the adjacent inner wall of the shell.

The spring beams resiliently engage the power terminal. The bands engage the terminal body to create a power path between the terminal body and the power terminal. The first band has a series of tabs extending therefrom separated by gaps. The tabs are received in corresponding notches and the gaps receive corresponding posts to secure the contact spring in the terminal box.
