At least first, second and third strands (11J, 11K) and (11L) are disposed side by side in a direction intersecting an extending direction of the core (20) inside the wire barrels (25L, 25R). A tip of the wire barrels (25L, 25R) is inserted between the first and second strands (11J, 11K) and a tip of the other of the pair of wire barrels (25L, 25R) is inserted between the second and third strands (11K, 11L).

The same ramped battery contacts can connect to a recharging station with leaf spring contacts through a swiping action that makes insertion and removal of the battery pack in the recharger quicker and easier.

A plurality of conductive terminals are insertable into the terminal-receiving passages in the housing from the rear termination end thereof through the through passages in the end cap. Each terminal includes a rear terminating end comprising a crimp section for crimping onto an electrical wire. The cross-sectional configuration of the crimp section relative to the cross-sectional configuration of the respective through passage in the end cap prevents the terminal from rotating as the crimp section passes through the through passage in the end cap.

The present invention provides alignment and support features remote from contact with the integrated circuit, and therefore provides support for the heat sink in a manner that does not place substantial stress on the integrated circuit.
