    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a contact organizer, signal and ground contacts, and an absorber member. The contact organizer has a mating end, and includes a first wall and a second wall that define a card cavity therebetween. The card cavity is open at the mating end to receive a mating circuit card therein. The signal contacts and the ground contacts are held by the contact organizer along at least the first wall. The absorber member is mounted to the first wall of the contact organizer at the mating end. The absorber member includes at least one limb composed of a lossy material. Each limb projects into the card cavity and aligns with a corresponding one of the ground contacts. Each limb is configured to electrically connect to a corresponding ground pad of the mating circuit card.

    Abstract: A grounding system for a terminal block for wiring to electrical equipment housed within an enclosure is disclosed. The enclosure has a chassis and the terminal block has a grounding socket with an opening for receiving a fastener. The grounding system can include a mounting bracket configured to be coupled to the chassis of the enclosure. The grounding system can further include a grounding tab coupled to the mounting bracket. The grounding tab can including a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion of the grounding tab can be configured to at least partially extend into the grounding socket of the terminal block such that the fastener passes through the opening in the grounding socket, contacts the grounding tab, and grounds the electrical equipment wired to the terminal block.

    Abstract: A snap tight electrical connector for securing and grounding an electrical cable or conduit to a junction box. The electrical connector includes a one-piece, electrically conductive connector body with a seat on the leading end and an electrically conductive snap ring held in the seat. A raised grounding lug on the seat of the connector body extends through a notch in the snap ring and provides a direct path for establishing an electrical grounding path between the connector body and the junction box. Locking tangs on the snap ring provide a secure snap-fit engagement between the connector body and the junction box. The raised grounding lug on the seat of the connector body provides a direct grounding path between the connector body and the junction box, thereby improving electrical continuity and lowering the millivolt drop between the connector body, the junction box, and the electrical cable or conduit secured to the connector body.
