Abstract: A cable connector has a body with a passageway therethrough and a slot extending along the passageway. A wedge is slidably received in the passageway. A log boom is secured by connecting the body of the connector to one end of the cable, wrapping the cable about a log on one side of the boom and then inserting the cable through the slot into the passageway. A wedge is then driven into the passageway to secure the hook to the cable.
