Abstract: Camouflage covering fabricated by the method of attaching dyed jute strands to netting, wherein the netting is placed over an individual or object to be camouflaged. The covering may be formed as an integral garment, such as a hooded poncho, or may be attached to clothing such as a battle dress uniform (BDU) to form a ghillie suit. The covering may be draped over an object such as a weapon, vehicle, equipment, or supplies. The present invention allows for quick, cost-effective creation of realistic three-dimensional camouflage coverings and apparel that are easily portable, naturally frayed in appearance, and securely assembled without the use of loops or snaps.
Abstract: A composite camouflage composition includes a substrate and a plurality of individual strips of camouflage material being spaced apart and adhered to the substrate along a bonding axis, each strip of the plurality of individual strips of camouflage material presenting a plurality of lobes adjacent the bonding axis, each strip of the plurality of individual strips of camouflage material being gathered at points along the bonding axis such that more than one layer of each strip of the plurality of individual strips of camouflage material is adhered to the substrate at such points. A garment and a method of forming the camouflage composition is further included.
Abstract: The present invention concerns weaving. In particular, it is a woven material produced using tape-like warp and tape-like weft through the employment of a rotary type shedding device which also functions as a direct specific-weave patterning device and a pick guiding device. The material according to the invention has a constructional constitution of at least some of the warp and weft that is non-homogenous. The invention also relates to a weaving device for producing woven material with tape-like warp and weft, comprising a rotary device, which is capable of producing more than one fabric simultaneously.

The fabrics are useful as backings for tufted carpets and especially patterned carpets and carpet tile owing to a surprising combination of tuftability, resistance to edge curl and stability during tufting.

Abstract: Tuftable primary backings comprise a closed-weave, woven tape fabric to which is affixed a coherent web layer comprising staple fibers with fibers oriented in at least two directions and a plurality of the fibers being fused. The web layer is affixed to the fabric by penetration of fibers from the web into the fabric. The backings have substantial weftline straightness and stability against deformations in the machine, cross and off-axis directions. Improved tufted goods and methods for making the composites and tufted goods are also provided.

Abstract: A Wind and Sun Tolerant Mesh is disclosed which is composed of either natural or synthetic material, the generally vertical directional strands crossed by horizontal strands, some or all of which individual horizontal strands of which broaden out on one side forming as sill which projects outward at an angle away from the plane surface of the mesh in a venetian blind profile, and wind baffling effect, while simultaneously allowing release of any excess pressure from wind gusting into the opposite side due to the semi permeable nature of the mesh and as there is no restricting sill on the inside surface, thus giving better control and protection to either articles or utilities made from, and/or persons or property protected by, commodities of any various sort constructed wholly or partly from the mesh.
Abstract: A material stock from which seals and packings may be formed is described; the material stock being relatively soft and compressible and cross section having a construction comprising a plurality of interlaced, as hereinbefore defined, flat section tapes having associated therewith a reinforcement. The tapes may include exfoliated graphite, paper, PTFE, mica, vermiculite as appropriate. The seal stock may have any desired cross sectional shape.

Abstract: Filler strips made of a solid layer of thermal sealable material, such as separate strips of polyethylene film or other suitable thermal sealable films, are sequentially spaced on one side of a thermal sealable plastic mesh web at equal distance from one another. The pre-prepared web is used on a conventional form, fill and seal machine to form mesh bags having top and bottom fin seals with enhanced strength. The bag is primarily mesh so the product within the bag breathes easily. A thermal sealable print band may be located on the second side of the mesh. Different types of bags can be formed on different types of automatic form, fill and seal machines by modifying the specific configuration of the pre-prepared mesh web for the particular automatic form, fill and seal machine design.

Abstract: This invention provides a reinforcing woven fabric using as weaving threads flat and substantially nontwisted multifilaments of reinforcing fiber having less than 0.5 wt. % of sizing agent provided thereto and a binding property of 400-800 mm in hook drop value, and a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a reinforcing woven fabric by weaving the multifilaments of reinforcing fiber as warps and wefts. A reinforcing woven fabric having a small thickness and an extremely high covering factor and capable of indicating a high strength can be obtained at a low cost as a substrate for reinforcing composite materials.
