The first and the second impregnating materials and the third material constituting the body layer are polymeric materials presenting a substantial affinity, so that the flexible sheet has a physically heterogeneous and chemically homogeneous structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2003Publication date: August 5, 2004Applicant: Mondo S.p.A.Inventor: Fernando Stroppiana

Patent number: 6770350Abstract: The invention relates to an insulation element (4, 4′), at least one nonwoven layer (5) and/or a foam layer (11) being enclosed by a film layer (1), and, to achieve a solution which is adequately permeable to water vapour but nevertheless flame-retardant, proposes that the film layer (1) consists of a flame-retardant material which is preferably closed to vapour diffusion, that the film layer (1) also has through-openings (2) and that the through-openings (2) are open to vapour diffusion.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2002Date of Patent: August 3, 2004Assignee: Illbruck GmbHInventors: Rainer Arndt, Hans-Rudolf Czerny

Patent number: 6764733Abstract: A roof membrane and a roof system employing a EPDM membrance which is compatible with a bituminous adhesive. The membrance includes an outer layer of polymeric layer such as EPDM bonded to a polyester protective layer which is in turn bonded to a fleecy material. This can be adhered to a roof deck surface using hot asphalt or bitumen which bonds the fleecy material to the roof deck in turn holding the EPDM in place. The polyester layer prevents the asphaltic material from attacking and dissolving the EPDM with the fleecy material providing good adhesion between the polyester and the EPDM.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1999Date of Patent: July 20, 2004Assignee: Carlisle Management CompanyInventor: Steven R. Publication number: 20040115417Abstract: The method of producing an organically bound, flexible fire-protection panel with a low density, inorganic filler (12) includes introducing a predetermined amount of a foamable organic binder matrix (5) into a mold (1), which is formed as a panel mold, and distributing the organic binder matrix (5) uniformly over the bottom (2) of the mold (1). Subsequently, the mold (1) is filled completely with an adequate amount of the inorganic filler (12), and as the mold (1) is being closed with a lid (16), the volume of the interior of the mold (1) is reduced and the inorganic filler (12) is pressed into the organic binder matrix (5), and then the organic binder matrix (5) is foamed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2003Publication date: June 17, 2004Inventors: Marco Fischer, Herbert Munzenberger

Patent number: 6726983Abstract: An elastic laminate fabric useful for applications including apparel, sanitary products, and the like has an elastic vinylidene isoprene polymer film sandwiched between two outer non-woven layers. The laminate elastic fabric has CD elongation of at least 120%, and has recovery of at least 85% after several cycles of 100% elongation. A method of making the non-woven elastic laminate fabric includes extrusion coating a non-woven web having CD elongation of at least 120% with a vinylidene isoprene polymer film, and then thermocalendaring a second non-woven layer having a CD elongation of at least 120% to the exposed film surface. The mode of thermocalendering includes the use of an engraved calender roll having a discontinuous roll pattern and a land area no greater than 15%.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2001Date of Patent: April 27, 2004Assignee: Polymer GroupInventors: Valeria Griep Erdos, Ellen Mosley
