    Abstract: A decorative laminate assembly having a decorative laminate top layer assembly. This top layer assembly includes, in descending superimposed relationship, a decorative layer and a core layer that includes PETG. Preferably, the top layer assembly also includes a wear resistant overlay layer on top of the decorative layer, and the core layer's PETG is in a sheet form. The top layer assembly is attached to a water resistant substrate through the use of a water resistant adhesive. The decorative laminate assembly of the present invention can be used for a variety of purposes, including flooring applications. When the present invention is used for flooring applications, it is preferred that the overlay layer include wear resistant qualities and that the water resistant substrate comprise PVC or cement fiberboard.

    Abstract: A flexible, vapor permeable, liquid impermeable composite fabric comprising a ultraviolet light stabilized and thermally stabilized microporous-formable polyolefin barrier layer extrusion laminated to an ultra-violet light stabilized and thermally stabilized polyolefin nonwoven fabric, the composite of which has been incrementally stretched to induce sufficient moisture vapor transmission characteristics while maintaining adequate resistance to water penetration, and methods of making the composite. This composite may be further laminated to one or more layers of either woven or nonwoven materials offering strength and environmental resistance characteristics sufficient for various outdoor applications including covers and building construction products. Embodiments of the above mentioned components have been shown to offer improved liquid resistance, environmental stability, and abrasion resistance as compared to existing commercially available materials.

    Abstract: An improved nonwoven web composite is formed by combining splittable bicomponent thermoplastic filaments with a component selected from other fibers and particles. The bicomponent filaments include distinct regions of first and second incompatible polymers extending the length of the filaments. After the bicomponent filaments are combined with the other fibers and/or particles, the bicomponent filaments are caused to split lengthwise along boundaries between the regions of different polymers, resulting in a web or matrix of finer filaments which entrap, ensnare and contain the other fibers and/or particles within the web or matrix. The nonwoven web composite is particularly useful for making absorbent articles, which require durability and optimum levels of absorbent fibers and/or particles.

    Abstract: A method of producing a chemical protective composite substrate by embedding chemical adsorbent layer between two nonwoven needlepunched substrates. The substrate in woven form is sandwiched between two needlepunched nonwoven mats. The nonwoven mats, in the preferred embodiment, are made from apparel grade polyester fibers of 1.5″ length and 1.5 denier, using H1 technology needlepunching machinery. A woven activated carbon cloth is sandwiched between two nonwoven substrates. The nonwoven substrates are double punched at a speed of 800 strokes/min. The three layers are fed to the conveyor belt that feeds the needleloom. The three-layer sandwich passes through the needling zone and gets compacted into a composite substrate. The three layers are needlepunched at 800 strokes/min resulting in a needle composite structure that has: a top or prefilter nonwoven layer; a middle or adsorbent layer and a bottom or base nonwoven layer.

A select number of the individual washcloths are stacked in a clip and placed in a package. The package of washcloths is heated to a select temperature above 98° F. One or more of the individual disposable washcloths are removed from the package to provide a warm, quick drying, moisturizing bath to a human being.
