    Abstract: A dry polymer modified cement to receive topical aggregate to form a high friction surface on trafficked pavement substrates (asphalt, concrete). The dry polymer modified cement is a thin overlay that handles the load of traffic in a relatively short time and has a relatively long life cycle. Prior to curing, the dry polymer modified cement also acts as an adhesive layer to receive and hold aggregate that is applied thereto. The dry polymer modified cement is prepared by mixing a cement mix with water where the cement mix includes cement (ordinary Portland cement), dry polymers and aggregate. The aggregate may have gradations that meet the ASTM C144 specification or may have finer gradations to allow for easier penetration of the topical aggregate by the dry polymer modified cement. The high friction surface may be patterned to provide improved performance.

The aqueous silicone-based car wax emulsion contains a isopropanol, a silicone oil, an amino-functional silicone, a cationic emulsifier, a nonionic emulsifier, an anti static agent, a silicone polyether wetting agent and optionally contains a wax such as carnauba wax. The wetting agent provides for even distribution of the aqueous car wax emulsion into the fabric and further promotes the even distribution of the car wax onto the vehicle surface when wiped thereon.

The method of manufacturing a protective glove with this multi-layer construction includes (1) heating a fabric layer at a first elevated temperature; (2) applying a viscous latex spreading compound over a surface of the fabric layer at a second, lower elevated temperature, to prevent the latex from penetrating the fabric layer but ensuring its adhesion to the fabric layer; (3) applying wax over the latex at least at the first elevated temperature, to prevent the latex from blooming; (4) adhering an opposed surface of the fabric layer to a second fabric layer to form the multi-layer fabric and (5) forming the multi-layer fabric into a glove.

    Abstract: A method for removing any single component or mixture of fats, oils and greases which have been added to or rendered out of an animal or vegetable product during cooking, thereby leaving the remaining commodity substantially fat-free without removing the water and water soluble flavor and nutrient salts. The product nearly instantaneously absorbs said fats, oils and greases onto a fabric substrate which is hydrophobic or repels water and oleophilic or attracts and absorbs hydrocarbons. The method works effectively on animal and vegetable fats, oils and greases through a temperature range from ambient or room temperature through boiling. The method removes fats, oils and greases from sauces, gravies, soups and any other cooking product regardless of type of cooking or type of fat, oil or grease and has the same removal effectiveness when used in waste treatment processes. The products are safe for use in microwaves.
