  • Patent number: 4932914
Abstract: A cadence caller is formed of a U-shaped clip member arranged for releasable attachment to a conventional shoe, the clip member mounting on its upper wall surface a vertically extending, longitudinally elongated post which receives a pair of cymbals through a centrally located bore provided through each, the bore being of greater diameter than the diameter of the post so that the cymbals are permitted free sliding movement along the post. An enlarged end cap, greater in diameter than the bores through the cymbals, is provided on the terminal end of the post to retain the cymbals on the post as they move in response to the movement of the shoe during walking and jogging. The resulting sound of the cymbals contacting each other gives an audible indication of each step.

  • Patent number: 4903864
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a glove amusement device for squirting liquid. The device includes a liquid storage apparatus, a glove and an umbilical cord connecting the two. The liquid storage apparatus includes an electro-mechanical pump which is activated by a trigger mechanism on the glove and a liquid container. The umbilical cord contains both electrical and liquid conduit. The electrical conduit connects the pump and the trigger and a portable power source, such as a battery pack, while the liquid conduit connects the liquid container and an opening in the glove. The liquid is transported from the container through the liquid conduit out an opening in the glove by activation of a pump. An end cap at the termination of the liquid conduit causes pressure to build at the end cap and a pulsating, hard stream of liquid is forced out the glove opening.

  • Patent number: 4658446
Abstract: A hat or cap defining a head covering provided with a front portion having a pair of relatively shiftable members which can simulate on a small scale apparently spontaneous lifelike movement, such as the clapping of hands. The members are pivotally coupled by pins to respective ends of a rigid crossbar. The front portion of the head covering has spaced slits through which the end portions of the cross bar extend so that the major portion of the crossbar is inside the head covering and concealed from view. A string coupled to the member passes through the head covering and out of the rear end thereof so that the wearer can pull the string and move the members toward each other. A spring is provided for biasing each member, respectively, away from the other member so that the springs and string work together to provide reciprocal movement of the members as the string is pulled and released.

  • Patent number: 4589660
Abstract: A miniature action toy suitable for strapping to the wrist of the user includes a windup motor having a control pawl and ratchet wheel. An indicia carrier strip is located on two spools which are driven by an output gear of the motor. A first control element is positioned over the indicia strip so as to move laterally side to side over the indicia strip, and up and down toward and away from the indicia strip. A second control element is positioned so as to contact the first control element and further includes a pawl locking element which is positioned so as to contact the motor pawl. In response to upward movement of the first control element away from the indicia strip, the pawl locking element locks with the motor pawl so as to freeze the motor. In response to movement of the first control element down toward the indicia strip, the pawl locking element disengages from the pawl so as to free the motor and allow the output gear to roll the spools and the indicia strip attached thereto.
