Patent number: 5619179Abstract: A sound generator includes independent and identical generators for the left and right sound channels. In one embodiment, identical sound synthesizer ICs contain the same library of sound loops. By retarding one IC's RESET port, the two ICs will always begin to output sound at slightly different times. If both ICs are clocked at the same clock rate, a fixed time shift between the left and right channel loops produces a pseudo-stereo effect. If the ICs are clocked at slightly different rates, the time shift between channels can drift continuously, producing the effect of migrating sound having great depth and spatial separation. In a second embodiment, substantially identical white noise generators output the left and right sound channels. In one mode, a common sawtooth waveform modulates each channel producing a wide variation in pulsating wave sounds. Patent number: 5607091Abstract: A universal holder for retaining various configurations of game calls affixed to a limb of a hunter includes a platform provided with a circular aperture within which similarly configured game calls may be nested. The game call is retained in this manner by an elastic member having no less than one stretch bridging the aperture and when thus retained, its bottom sound emanating surface is maintained in a position elevated from a user's limb by legs depending from the platform. An adjustable, flexible body attaching member serves to secure the retained game call relative the user's limb. Non-circular or elongated box-type game calls are retained atop the platform by the same elastic member but wherein the stretch is passed beneath the platform with a portion thereof displaced upwardly through the aperture to releasably engage a catch element on the game call.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1995Date of Patent: March 4, 1997Inventor: John Musacchia

Patent number: 5572762Abstract: A sound generating toothbrush has a sound generating apparatus and a switch device for activating the sound generating apparatus. The toothbrush has a handle portion with a compartment provided adjacent to the proximate end thereof for accommodating the sound generating apparatus and the switch device. The switch device has a bush-button which is located at the proximate end of the handle. Consequently, the sound generating apparatus can be activated, while normally holding the handle portion of the toothbrush, by momentarily pressing the proximate end of the toothbrush handle against any appropriate surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 1994Date of Patent: November 12, 1996Inventor: Jonathan Scheiner

Patent number: 5547412Abstract: The present invention is a stepstool for children with an automatic electronic message mechanism. The stepstool comprises a main housing including a horizontal step and a substantially vertical support having a bottom which rests on a compressive pod which in turn rests on a floor surface. Attached to the inside of the back side of the stepstool is a message mechanism whose switch is activated when weight such as that of a child is introduced to the horizontal step portion of the stepstool. The message mechanism comprises an on/off switch, power source, message chip, audio driver and a speaker which plays a predetermined message when the on/off switch is activated.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1995Date of Patent: August 20, 1996Assignee: Stap and a Half ToysInventor: James J. Patent number: 5533757Abstract: A book having a sound producing capability which attracts the attention and interest of children and which does not require batteries or another source of electrical power. The book has a hollow spine or binding defining a conduit which slidably contains a noise making device, such as a whistle, therein. In the preferred embodiment, the spine of the book is a hollow tubular member which slidably receives a member which produces sound as it slides through the tubular member, under the force of gravity, due to the forced passage of air through tortuous paths and/or constricted openings or slits in the member (e.g., as in a whistle or the like).Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1995Date of Patent: July 9, 1996Assignee: Joshua Morris Publishing, Inc.Inventor: Michael Morris
