  • Patent number: 6216382
Abstract: A manually manipulated expander spaces the opposite walls of the body of a flexible hollow animal decoy, such as a turkey decoy. The decoy has outwardly convex flexible walls, one of which is collapsed inwardly by inverting it against the other, thus flattening the decoy for transport. The expander is associated with a vertical support pillar or shaft, which carries the decoy on the ground. Bracing portions of the expander extend for example in opposite directions, to contact and space the walls. In an integral expander embodiment the walls are braced open by two opposite arms or by the peripheral edges of a thin two dimensional shape complementing a cross section of the hollow opening between the walls. The expander is then rotated 90° to place either the wider or thinner expander cross section between the decoy walls.

  • Patent number: 6190231
Abstract: This application is directed to a linkage system which provides continuous rotation to two or more interconnected quadrilaterals. The basic element of the linkage system is a multi-level link which provides firstly, a non-rotatable connection between two sub-links lying, in separate parallel planes and secondly, a rotatable connection for a further link lying in another parallel plane between the planes of the sub-links. By various interconnections between link elements, the quadrilaterals the linkage system will form various geometric patterns as the linkage is rotated. As the quadrilaterals lie in different planes, they may be continuously rotated with respect to each other. The linkage system may be used as a toy, a novelty item and as an educational tool.

  • Patent number: 6138701
Abstract: Collapsible structures are provided having at least two panels, with each of the panels having a flexible loop member defining a closed loop and adapted to assume an expanded position and a collapsed position, a fabric for partially covering the loop member, with the loop member substantially supporting the fabric in particular areas so that the fabric assumes the particular configuration of the loop member when in the expanded position of the loop member. The loop members of two adjacent first and second panels overlap each other at a first overlapping point along first edges of the loop members, and at a second overlapping point along second edges of the loop members, with the overlapping loop members defining a hinge portion about which the two loop members of the first and second panels are pivotable. The structure may include a third loop member having one side which is hingedly connected to one side of the first panel.

Abstract: A foldable toy which can be selectively arranged into a plurality of desired shapes is disclosed as well as an associated game. The foldable toy includes a plurality of primary links, a plurality of joints connecting the primary links together, and a plurality of secondary links having first ends secured to the joints and having opposite free ends. The joints permit the primary and secondary links to be rotated about the joints through 360.degree. in parallel planes in order to form different desired shapes. The foldable toy can advantageously form a virtually unlimited number of different shapes including, for example, each of the letters A through Z of the English-language alphabet, each of the numerals 0-9, and a plurality of common geometric shapes such as a square, triangle, rectangle, star, diamond, and octagon. The foldable toy can also be formed into other amusing shapes such as animals, rocket ships, buildings, etc. and numerous other shapes that a child can imagine.
