With Provision To Extract Honey Patents (Class 449/5)
  • Patent number: 11540495
Abstract: A splittable honeycomb comprising: a first comb portion and a second comb portion comprising a first series of cell portions and a corresponding second series of cell portions respectively, said first and second cell portions defining a series of honeycomb cells therebetween, the first comb portion and the second comb portion being moveable relative to each other from a closed cell position to an open cell position, wherein mutually opposed edges of said cells are non-contiguous in the closed cell position to thereby avoid catching a limb of a bee.

  • Patent number: 10863726
Abstract: A frame for a beehive includes: a pair of opposite frame sidewalls extending across a width dimension of the frame, the frame having a length dimension extending between the opposite frame sidewalls; and a plurality of fixed first sections and a plurality of movable second sections laterally stacked between the frame sidewalls and configured for supporting a honeycomb. The first and second sections are oriented parallel with the frame sidewalls and alternately arranged along the length of the frame. Further, the second sections are laterally slidable relative to the first sections between an open position for release of honey from the honeycomb and a closed position for storage of honey.

  • Publication number: 20140370781
Abstract: An artificial honeycomb for use in a beehive and which enables honey to be removed from the honeycomb without removing the honeycomb from the hive, the honeycomb comprising cells and being formed of at least two parts which are moveable relative to each other between a cell formed position where the cells comprise side walls and an end wall to enable bees to fill the cell with honey, and a cell open position where at least some of the said walls have moved apart, whereby honey in the cells can be removed from the honeycomb by movement of the at least two parts to the cell open position.

  • Patent number: 6746305
Abstract: Unadulterated and natural honey is packaged in a template by providing a plurality of templates formed from planar wood members that are vertically installed in a box-like container mounted above a beehive and providing a recess in the planar wood member that is closed on the bottom face by a wax foundation sheet where passageways lead the worker bees and excludes the queen bee to the recess for depositing the honey. The template is removed from the box-like container and installed in a box or package for retail sales and obviating the necessity of transporting the honey from the beehive to the processing plant and avoiding the steps of centrifuging and heating.
