Abstract: A perspiration absorbing device for preventing staining due to perspiration and for masking body odor includes a second panel that is coupled by opposing termini and a first side to a first panel to define a pocket. A pair of couplers is coupled singly proximate to opposing edges of the first panel. The couplers are configured to couple the first panel to at least one of skin of a user and an interior surface of a garment so that the first panel is positioned proximate to a respective armpit of the user. The first panel and the second panel are configured to absorb perspiration. Each of a set of sachets is selectively insertable into the pocket so that the sachet is configured to emit a fragrance to mask body odor.

Abstract: The invention is for a bodysuit for clothing of a human to assist in comfortable wearing of an orthotic brace. Trouserette sections, an elliptical sanitary voiding aperture, and a loincloth with a pelvic girdle flap elongated end releasably joined to a body sleeve provide the wearer with comfort, modesty, and convenience in sanitary voiding. Stretch cotton/spandex knit cloth, externally overlocked seaming, coverstitched stitches, flat zigzag stitchery, and hook and loop tape fasteners enhance quality and comfort in various embodiments.

Abstract: Systems and methods for MIMO wireless transmission are provided. At the transmitter, a plurality of encoded packets are modulated, and the symbols are divided between several transmit antennas. The transmitter spreads some of the symbols of each packet using a respective subset of an available Walsh code space. A given transmit antenna then transmits part of each packet spread by the respective subset. In some implementations, this achieves the benefits of the PARC system, and at the same time achieves part of the benefits of the STTD system. Advantageously, only a single reverse link control channel is required if adaptive coding and modulation is to be performed.

Abstract: In an MIMO mobile communication system in which a PDM base station communicates with a single terminal through a plurality of paths the terminal and the base station each collectively transmit control message for a plurality of paths through a path best in communication quality as based on the plurality of spatial paths' communication quality information. Furthermore the communication quality information is referred to to appropriately control the path's communication operation to switch between a plurality of types of operation. A first operation increases the path's transmission power and a second operation decreases the path's modulation level. These operations are performed by a DSP. Thus in the MIMO system the control message can be transmitted more efficiently with increased certainty.

Abstract: A reusable, adjustable athletic support garment designed for wear with an absorbent material, such as an incontinence pad. The invention includes an adjustable waistband (12), a front panel (14), a rear panel (16), adjustable front panel support straps (18) and adjustable rear panel support straps (20). An absorbent material, such as an incontinence pad, is worn within the front panel (14) or within the rear panel (16), or within both. Connected to the front panel (14) are the front panel support straps (18) which extend downward from the groin region, rearward between a wearer's legs, and upward to the waistband (12) to which they are adjustably fastened. Connected to the rear panel (16) are the rear panel support straps (20) which extend downward from the buttocks region, forward between the wearer's legs, and upward to the waistband (12) to which they are adjustably fastened.

Abstract: A protective device primarily intended for female water skiers inhibits flow of water into the female reproductive organs. In the preferred embodiment, the lower portion of a swimsuit includes a pocket in the crotch region and a slit on the interior wall of the crotch for providing access to the pocket. In an alternate embodiment, the swimsuit includes a region of hook or loop fasteners disposed on the interior wall of the crotch region. In the preferred embodiment, a deflector which comprises outer layers of a soft, resilient material and a thin inner layer of more rigid, fluid impervious material is placed either in the pocket or secured by complementary hook and loop fasteners. An alternate embodiment comprehends a generally hourglass shaped sponge which is fabricated of open or preferably closed cell foam and which is placed in the pocket or includes complementary hook and loop fasteners for securing to the crotch region of the swimsuit.

Abstract: A two piece panty with one of the pieces being a removable lower or crotch portion. This portion has an inner section designed for the absorption of menses, and an outer moisture resistant backing that includes both a front and rear engaging means and a pocket adapted to hold a pre-wrapped moistened towelette. Thus, when the inner section becomes soiled, it is easily replaceable by disengaging the crotch portion and replacing it with a new one.

Abstract: Comfort pants having cushioned buttocks portions. The pants comprise a pair of boxer-like shorts having a rear, reinforced panel including a pair of pads which are disposed on either side of a center line of the rear panel at locations thereon corresponding to those portions of a wearer's buttocks which come into contact when the wearer is seated on a flat surface.
