Abstract: A brassiere includes bra cups holding a wearer's breasts. A shaping foam layer is sandwiched between outer and inner layers of each bra cup and extends from a lower to an upper edge of each cup. A support shelf assembly spans across a lower portion of each bra cup and includes a support component located proximate the lower edge of the cups, a non-stretch stabilizer fabric layer spanning between both cups and along a full length of the support component, and a supportive foam layer spanning between both cups and along the support component. The inner, outer, shaping foam, stabilizer fabric, and supportive foam layers span across a center gore that connects the bra cups to form a front panel of the brassiere. The support shelf assembly is molded between the inner layer and the shaping foam layer and is an embedded, integral part of the front panel.

The bra clip includes a body defining a proximal end and a distal end, a first body half extending between the proximal and distal ends, and a second body half extending between the proximal and distal ends. The first and second body halves define an enclosure therebetween. The bra clip includes first and second side openings extending between and separating the first body half from the second body half. The bra clip includes an opening at the distal end of the body. The opening extends into the enclosure between the first and second body halves.

Any one of a plurality of interchangeable ornaments is attachable to the upper end of the strand. For example, the upper end may be inserted into a receptacle depending from a select ornament, such as a gemstone or another decorative design element. When the brassiere is worn, the ornament is suspended near one or both breasts. An alternate embodiment includes a pair of arcuate strands joined at or near their upper ends, each of which fits within a designated passageway formed around each of the brassiere cups to further anchor the ornament in a desired position.

Abstract: A three-dimensional support frame for the linkage section (also known as “heart”) of bra cups for low-heart underwear is disclosed. The support frame comprises a body having a U-shaped support frame. The body of the support frame is made of a wide flat wire; wire surfaces of two vertical portions of the body of the support frame being correspondingly twisted outwardly at an angle with respect to a vertical axis, forming an anticlockwise angle of 15°-85° with respect to a vertical plane, and the twists starts at a position of the maximum radius of semicircular lower portion of the U shape. The twisted wire surfaces of the two vertical portions are of an arc-shaped structure which is curved outwardly, an outwardly curved portion with a maximum curvature being offset in a distance of 5 mm-50 mm with respect to midpoint of a bottom portion of the U-shaped support frame.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for sharpening a tool, such as a drill bit. A tool sharpener includes a tool holder subassembly which retains and presents the tool against a grinding wheel subassembly. A sensor locates a cutting edge of the tool while the tool is retained by the tool holder. A circuit, preferably comprising a programmable processor, determines a web thickness of the tool from the located cutting edge. The cutting edge is preferably located by detecting at least first and second points at different radii along the cutting edge. A cross-feed subassembly preferably moves the sensor into position, and the tool holder subassembly preferably rotates the tool to facilitate detection of each of the at least first and second points. The tool holder subassembly thereafter presents the tool against the grinding wheel subassembly in response to the determined web thickness of the tool.

Abstract: A breast support frame for brassieres is disclosed which includes an elongated flexible tip at each of its ends. The elongated flexible tip is configured to provide increased flexibility and softness and thereby enhance the comfort to the wearer. The tip includes an enlongated distal portion which freely extends beyond the insertion of the end of the U-shaped resultant stiffening member within the tip. The distal portion is preferably tapered and narrowed to further enhance its flexibility.

Abstract: An underwire for an underwire brassier has a metal wire bow provided at one end with a stitching flange and preferably formed at the other end with an elastomeric tip. A double-cup frame for the underwire brassiere has an inverted U-shaped bridge piece whose shanks receive the ends of plastic coated underwires. The shanks are connected unitarily by a bight which is flattened and can be grooved to increase flexibility. Upon twisting of the bight, the two underwires can be superposed, thereby increasing the flexibility of the frame and a brassiere in which the frame is incorporated.

Abstract: A brassiere for enhancing cleavage between the breasts of a wearer and including a torso shaping body member, which can be worn under a garment which is strapless, off the shoulder and/or cut low in the back. The present invention comprises a pair of breast cups disposed in spaced apart yet communicating relation with one another. Each breast cup preferably includes an upper half and a lower half and an underwire which is structured and disposed to wrap substantially around each breast of the wearer so as to effectively lift the breasts upwardly. As a unique feature, the improved brassier of the present invention includes a tensioner member interposed between the breast cups and preferably, which has a generally "V" shape, so as to effectively squeeze the breasts together. The present invention additionally comprises a body member, with optional straps for securing the brassier about the torso of the wearer in proper orientation so that the breast cups are disposed to support the wearer's breasts.

Abstract: A frame for breast cups of a brassiere is formed in such a manner that it is relatively inflexible in the plane of the frame and relatively flexible in the direction of the thickness of the frame, the frame when viewed in edge view, being in the form of a dihedral, thus causing a bridge between the respective frames to move inwardly towards the sternum of the wearer of the brassiere on the application of a force acting to move free ends of the respective frames away from each other.
