Abstract: A gasket removal and cleaning tool includes a drive rod rotatably retained within a sleeve enabling the rod to be driven by a die grinder. The opposite end of the drive rod projects from the sleeve and includes an abrasive element that may be used to remove a seal from a sealing surface and to polish or clean the surface.

Abstract: A combination abrasive disc and backing plate provide workpiece viewing and blowing collectively through aligned viewing apertures. The backing plate has a bottom surface adapted to support the abrasive disc and an opposed top surface. Coordinated alignment of the viewing apertures of the disc and plate allows observation of a workpiece collectively through the disc and plate during rotary drive thereof. The plate's viewing aperture is partially adjoined by a scoop formation on the plate's top surface. The scoop is arranged for deflecting air from above the plate's top surface and consequently forcing such in a current collectively through the aligned viewing apertures of the disc and plate. This blowing current acts to both blow away debris from the field of view and thereby reduce viewing impairment, as well as to provide some cooling to the workpiece.
Abstract: The present invention, in a preferred embodiment, is a new and improved hand-held manual sander that comprises a sander body, a hand grip, a mounting plate and a working surface. More specifically, the sander body includes a cylindrically shaped member designed to reduce fatigue to the hand during extended use of sander. The hand grip is adapted to the size of a palm for a single handed grip around the sander. A finger recess around the periphery of the hand grip portion is designed to further facilitate one-handed use. The mounting plate extends from the sander body. The working surface is associated with the bottom of the mounting plate. The outer periphery of the mounting plate substantially defines the size of the working surface and, therefore, the size of working materials such as sandpaper. The working surface consists of hook type materials of hook and loop mechanical attachment systems.
Abstract: A random orbital abrading machine having a housing, a drive shaft driven by a housing mounted motor for rotation about a first axis of rotation, an assembly for connecting a work surface abrading pad or the like to the drive shaft, wherein the pad is adapted to undergo free rotational movement about a second axis disposed parallel to the first axis of rotation, as such pad is caused to orbit about such first axis of rotation, characterized in that the assembly is designed for dampening vibration due to a drag force acting on the pad when engaged with the work surface under predetermined working conditions.
