Abstract: A portable game hoist assembly includes a plurality of modular sections that is each removably coupled together to define a stand that extends vertically from a support surface. The stand has a height at least 8.0 feet to facilitate a deer or other similarly sized animal to be suspended beneath the stand for butchering. A winch is rotatably coupled to a respective one of the modular sections and a pulley is coupled to a respective one of the modular sections. The pulley is spaced upwardly from the support surface when the stand is assembled. A cable is wrapped around the winch and the cable extends around the pulley. A distal end of the cable can lift the game when the winch is rotated in the first direction. A lighting unit is coupled to the modular sections to illuminate the game for butchering.

Abstract: Carcass support frame 12 is supported by hanger support pin 38 of hanger 14. When a carcass has been mounted to the mounting hooks 32 and 33 of the carcass support frame, the hunter can move the scale connector lever 18 downwardly so that the scale tends to lift the carcass support frame 12 upwardly off the hanger support pin 38, causing the scale to bear the full weight and indicate the weight of the carcass.

Abstract: A portable game support uses a frame made from horizontal, vertical and diagonal frame members. The frame members have opposite ends, and have attachment points on the ends. The attachment points are U-shaped connectors that have overlap and compression sections. The compression section has a connector port, or hole, through the section and the frame member. The connector can be a bolt, washers, and a nut, or a bolt and a cotter pin. The frame is supported against a vertical object through a pair of horizontal support straps having a first and a second opposite ends that have attachment points to matching attachment points where the straps are attached to the vertical frame member. The horizontal frame member can be four feet in length and the vertical and diagonal frame members can be three feet in length. The frame members can be formed from tubular metal. The horizontal frame member can have a D-ring with an attached pulley to assist in lifting the animal.

Abstract: A device, easily assembled and disassembled for portability, for hoisting and skinning large game in the wilderness. A pair of upright members extend upward from base members, and a cross beam joins upper ends of the upright members to form a rigid frame. A winch mounted on an upright member includes a barrel sufficiently wide to accommodate two cables in side-by side relation and a handle for rotating the barrel. A first cable extends from the barrel of the winch through a dual-sheaved pulley suspended from the cross beam proximal to the winch and thence through a second pulley suspended from the cross beam distal to the winch. A second cable extends from the barrel of the winch through the dual-sheaved pulley. With the hind legs of a carcass attached to the cables, rotating the handle hoists the carcass and tensions apart the hind legs to facilitate skinning.

Abstract: A hitch-mounted game carrier apparatus for transporting and skinning game. The hitch-mounted game carrier apparatus includes a support assembly being adapted to be fastened to a hitch of a vehicle; and also includes a winch assembly being mounted to the support assembly and including a winch and a cable being carried by the winch; and further includes a game carrier assembly being supported by the support assembly for carrying the game.

Abstract: A collapsible fish cleaner in the form of a V-shaped trough or holding tray with integral ends that performs similarly to welded or molded fish cleaners to securely hold fish for cleaning on the outside of a boat. Seven integrally incorporated hinge assemblies allow the device to be folded completely flat without disassembly. The device is made ready by unfolding from the flat storage position to the V-shape. The hinges are an integral part of each of six parts interfacing with each other on seven axes in this design. In the use of the device, a support flange rests on the side gunwale of a boat, secured to the boat by a quick release connector.

Abstract: A game hoist and carrier comprises a rack having expandable sides for transporting game from a hunting site. A hoist mast is mounted to the rack, and a vertical support shaft is attached to the rack for stabilizing the game hoist and carrier above a surface during the lifting of an animal carcass.

Abstract: A hanger device for suspending, dressing and weighing game comprises a main structure having an integrated weight scale for determining a total and a dressed game weight. Two main arms have a proximal end and a distal end. Each of the two main arms are provided with a lift hook at the distal end and are interconnected to the main structure at the proximal end such that the two main arms can slide along the main structure in accordance with a weight on the weight scale. Two lower arms interconnect the two main arms to a bottom portion of the main structure. A locking pin is adapted to prevent weight arranged on the hanger device from being placed on a weight spring. Arm stops are arranged at a position along two main arms such that when the two main arms are widened to a fully opened position, the two lower arms abut against the arm stops to limit an opening width of the two main arms.

Abstract: An animal gambrel apparatus having a three piece telescoping spreader bar. The center section of the spreader bar has a telescoping section engaged in each end of the center section, and each end of the center section has an internally mounted retention member that cooperates with an externally mounted stop member on the proximal end of each telescoping section to prevent the telescoping sections from being dislodged from the center section. A locking mechanism is attached to the proximal end of one of the telescoping sections to bias and selectively lock and maintain the sections of the spreader bar in an extended condition. The extended condition is released by turning the spreader bar upside down to disengage the locking mechanism.

Abstract: A portable game animal hanger for hanging a game animal thereon to facilitate skinning and cleaning of the game animal. The portable game animal hanger includes a pair of elongate arms each has proximal and distal ends. The proximal ends of the arms are pivotally coupled together. Each of the arms has a hook extent adjacent the distal end of the respective arm. The arms each have a shackle hole adjacent the proximal end. The shackle holes are coaxially aligned when the arms are positioned in an extended position. A shackle is also included having a spaced apart pair of finger portions and an arcuate portion connecting the finger portions together. The finger portions of the shackle each have a securing hole therethrough. The proximal ends of the arms are positioned between the finger portions of the shackle.

Abstract: A portable, foldable structure for the dressing of game animals in the field is provided. The present invention is a portable game support which has an upper arm with a game attachment means suspended at one end of the upper arm and a flange support attached at the terminus of the other end of the upper arm with means for attachment to a tree trunk or like vertical columnar member. The portable game animal support has a lower arm having means at one end for attachment to the tree or like vertical columnar member with the lower arm being coupled at the other end to the upper arm to provide additional strength to the portable game animal support.

Abstract: A heavy-duty game hoist for suspending large game, such as deer, or other animals for processing in a stable, non-rotating manner. The preferred embodiment of the present invention contemplates a hoist configured to be affixed to a pole, tree, or the like, the hoist including a first vertical support member which engages the pole or tree, the first vertical support member engaging a frame which includes a laterally emanating horizontal support member having first and second ends, the first end engaging the first vertical support member, the second end distal from the first vertical support member, the second end of the horizontal support member supporting a second vertical support member. In the preferred embodiment, the second vertical support member has a square or other configured conduit formed longitudinally therethrough, and is configured to telescopically engage a vertical boom member which includes a gambrel for engaging and supporting the game.

Abstract: A portable gambrel comprising a pair of sturdy bar arms rotatably supported in a triangular saddle member, each of said arms having a rotating hook at its outermost end. The arms may be rotated from the horizontal position to the vertical position for storage. In addition adjusting pins are provided such that the opposing arms may be secured in an intermediate position between the horizontal and vertical to provide a shorter distance between the hooks for a smaller carcass.

Abstract: An expanding gambrel apparatus and method for supporting a slaughtered animal. The gambrel apparatus includes a pair of support arms each having an arcuate end forming a hook. The pair of support arms are pivotally connected to each other. A pair of braces are pivotally connected to each other and to the support arms. A center post is connected to the braces and a bracket is connected to the support arms. The center post abuts the bracket and maintains the support arm hooks at a certain spacing when supporting the animal. A rope is attached to the center post and has a free end which extends through a hole in the bracket. The gambrel apparatus has a collapsed position and an expanded position. In the collapsed position, the hooks are closely situated to one another and the center post is separated from the bracket. The hook of a first support arm is first inserted through the animal's hind leg.

Abstract: A portable animal hoist (10) comprises the vertical member (12). The member holder (12B) is securely attached to the top end of the vertical member (12) on one distal end. The opposite distal end of the member holder (12B) is wrapped around the tree (30) and securely fastened with the removable fastening device to the top of the vertical member (12) by the vertical member horizontal bracket (12A). The member holder (12B) functions to removably support the portable animal hoist (10) on the verticle member. A top cross member (14T) is securely attached perpendicularly to the top end of the vertical member (12). The bottom cross member (14B) securely attached at the bottom end of the vertical member (12) and positioned perpendicularly thereto. A horizontal member (16) is pivotally connected at the back distal end by the first fastener (28) to the top end of the vertical member (12) extending perpendicularly therefrom.

Abstract: A gambrel apparatus is provided for the support of animals and the like. The gambrel apparatus includes a spreader bar adapted to permit convenient and rapid adjustment of its length. End pieces of the spreader bar include special entailing hooks for mounting the animal thereon. Each hook is also connected to a common central connector which, in turn, is connected to a hoist unit. The hoist unit permits a single individual to raise and lower the animal with respect to the ground or other supporting area.

Abstract: An adjustable frame member has one end of a first linking member pivotally connected to the adjustable frame member. A first abutting member is pivotally connected to another end of the first linking member and a first side frame member is attached to the first abutting member. A suspension member pivotally connects to the first side frame member and a second side frame member pivotally connects to the suspension member. A second abutting member attaches to the second side frame member and one end of a second linking member pivotally connects to the second abutting member. Another end of the second linking member pivotally connects to the adjustable frame member. A hanger adjustably connects to the adjustable frame member and there is a first adjustment device on the hanger. There is a second and a third adjustment device on the hanger.

Abstract: A hinged gambrel support which folds and latches for storage. Each of a pair of support arms include one or more gambrel retainer projections, mating latch surfaces and tie off apertures. A bored axle at one arm mates with and is retained to the other arm at a recessed bore via a split ring fastener. Latch surfaces at the retainer projections interlock upon folding the arms for storage. In an alternative construction the arms are length adjustable.

Abstract: A device for field dressing of game is set forth. It includes an upstanding central strap which connects at its lower end to a pivot means. The pivot means supports a left arm, and a duplicate right arm. They engage the hind legs of game for cleaning. In addition to the left and right arms, replicated components function as left arm and right arm braces connecting with said strap to define a rigid structure. On subsequent deployment of the braces, a pair of snips or a measuring device can be assembled. In the folded condition, the strap defines a collinear arrangement of the various arms.

Abstract: A lightweight, collapsible gambrel for carrying or lifting an animal carcass is provided having a central support member for securing a manipulative tether and two opposing foldable branch members pivotally attached to the central support member. Each branch member has a proximal and a distal arm, pivotally connected to one another. Two folding prongs, for anchoring a portion of the carcass, are associated with each distal arm.

Abstract: A portable game support for suspending game from a vertical support such as a post or tree, which game support includes a support frame having spaced legs for skirting the tree, a connector bar spanning the legs for engaging one side of the tree, a brace bar pivotally attached to the forward end of the support frame for adjustably engaging the tree beneath the connector bar and a V-shaped rear retainer bar adjustably secured to the legs of the support frame for engaging the opposite side of the tree and cooperating with the connector bar for maintaining the support frame on the tree at a selected height. A V-shaped front retainer may also be adjustably secured to the legs adjacent to the connector bar and overlapping the rear retainer for engaging the tree under circumstances where the tree upon which the portable game support is mounted is relatively small in diameter.
