  • Patent number: 10525395
Abstract: Systems and methods for use in a vehicle can involve determining that a plurality of closures of a vehicle have been closed, running an HVAC system in a fresh air mode after determining that the plurality of closures have been closed, and thereafter recirculating air while adding newly filtered air to maintain a positive air pressure level in a passenger cabin of the vehicle. The determining can occur after one or more people enter the vehicle and being driving, and the recirculating and adding can involve activating a recirculation mode and a fresh air mode simultaneously. Adding newly filtered air maintains a positive air pressure level in a passenger cabin, which level can be set based on an amount of leaks, a user setting, a vehicle type and a pollution level. The determining, running, and recirculating and adding can occur again after determining a vehicle closure has been opened.

Abstract: A temperature door for an air handling system of a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system includes a first surface defining a sealing perimeter and a pivoting structure coupled to the first surface and defining an axis. The first surface is configured to pivot about the axis in the housing of the air handling system. A sealing lip is disposed about the sealing perimeter of the first surface and is adapted to engage a corresponding sealing surface of the housing of the air handling system. A pivoting of the first surface about the axis from a sealed position causes a progressive disengagement of the sealing lip from the sealing surface beginning in a location proximate the axis while at least a portion of the sealing lip remains engaged with the sealing surface at a location spaced from the axis.

The room deodorizer is mounted near the bottom edge of a door and includes a deodorizing strip that extends below the bottom edge of the door to the floor. The deodorizing strip obstructs an airflow passageway created between the bottom edge of the door and the floor. The deodorizing strip is impregnated with a deodorizing agent such that when a ventilation device within the room is activated, the created airflow passes through the deodorizing strip to release the deodorizing agent into the enclosed room.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method of temperature equalization applied to the door (12, 24, 30) of electrical home appliances by means of the circulation of air within the freezing compartment (23), the freezer compartment (11) or the refrigeration compartment (16), as may be the case, in order to eliminate regions wherein the air stands still. The said circulation comprises the forced moving of the air between at least one air inlet opening (34) and at least one air outlet opening (15, 25, 35, 36), the said forced moving being provided by the action of at least one ventilation fan (13, 26, 37), installed in the air inlet opening or in the air outlet opening. The said openings are positioned in regions of different temperatures within the compartment, and are interconnected by means for conducting the airflow (14, 27, 34), which means may be provided by means of ducts.
