Abstract: A ventilator for exhausting gas from an exhaust port, by utilizing wind or relative wind around and through the ventilator to create a reduced pressure zone at an open exhaust port. Tapered intermediate portions extend from the opposite ends of a centrally located throat portion within a body of the ventilator to a pair of opposite mouths through which gas can flow out through the ventilator from the exhaust port. Each mouth of the ventilator has an opening with an area significantly larger than the area of a flow path within the throat portion. The throat portion may be of constant internal cross-sectional area over its entire length.
Abstract: An exhaust fan assembly, powered by solar energy, that is specially designed for use with portable toilets as well as other small, enclosed spaces. Design intent is to provide a convenient, energy efficient means of keeping these units ventilated.

Abstract: An apparatus for covering an exterior opening in a roof is disclosed. The apparatus includes a hollow conical element defining an inner volume, the conical element having a first opening on a wide end and a second opening on a narrow end. The apparatus further includes a planar element surrounding an outer brim of the first opening, wherein the planar element accepts a fastener for fastening the apparatus to the roof. The apparatus further includes at least one louver covering the second opening and at least one screen located within the inner volume of the conical element, wherein the at least one screen is fastened to an inner surface of the conical element.
Abstract: An exhaust air hood has a tubular body and at least one plate member having a chamber inside thereof. The plate member has a planar configuration including widths gradually decreasing toward two longitudinal ends of the plate member, the chamber having an opening at each longitudinal end of the plate member. The exhaust air hood discussed is capable of reducing backflows through exhaust air ports caused by wind pressure, thus enabling a proper ventilation system to be achieved.
Abstract: A vent termination assembly for a vertical pipe, stack or tube including a hinged flapper to normally close the end of said vent termination assembly and at least one downwardly sloping normally open to the atmosphere side pipe bevelled to discharge generally upward. The flapper contains energy adsorbing side beams to reduce velocity of the flapper during opening.
