Abstract: Discloses sheet of printable media, such as paper, of a special format for printing, preferably by computer, images (such as charts) which are too large to fit on conventional sized sheets of printed paper, and a method for printing such images. The images are printed in sections onto standard sized paper sheets segmented into a retained portion and a removable portion with a glue strip along one side of the retained portion. The sections of the image are printed on the sheet to predetermined margins extending parallel to the sheet edges. The printing may include inconspicuous marks along a registration boundary to facilitate registration of a pair of sheets. The removable portion is separated from the sheet along a segmentation line that coextends with a registration boundary and two sheets with adjacent portions of an image are overlapped until their portions of the image are in register to present a continuous image without gap or overlap.

Abstract: A business form is provided which is particularly useful in shipping products where certain preprinted information can be provided and then individualized information is printed before the form is applied to a substrate. The form includes a face ply which has a pattern of adhesive applied to at least a portion of the inner face, and a release liner which includes a pattern of adhesive which exposes a portion of the release liner to direct adhesive contact to the face ply without intervening release coating to permanently adhere a part of the release liner to the face ply. The release liner has a surrounding protective border provided with release coating on the release face thereof and which is removed prior to application to the substrate, and a slip which remains with the form as applied to the substrate. The face ply includes lines of perforation defining a central portion.
Abstract: A form/label combination provides a label and multiple receipts which may be simply constructed from two continuous sheets of paper in one pass through only a coater and a label press. The first sheet of the form/label combination provides an adhesive label on the left side, and a receipt on the right. The label is releasably attached to the left side of the second sheet, while the receipt is detachably attached to the right side of the second sheet. An image-transfer mechanism is provided between the two sheets so that images impressed on the first sheet are transferred to the second sheet. A method for manufacturing such a form/label combination is also simple and easy to practice.
Abstract: A business form having a faceplate, a retainer frame, and at least one lift-off panel formed from at least one cutout in the faceplate with retaining members of a releasable adhesive backer being disposed on the reverse side of the faceplate with the adhesive facing the at least one cutout opening. Precut lift-off panels of the same material remain disposed at least one per cutout and adhered to the backer member primarily for printing in a laser or inkjet printer to produce at least one and preferably multiple lift-off panels each of which constitutes one card. Indicia or images can be printed onto the business form and individual printed cards can be obtained by lifting off the printed individual lift-off panels on an as-needed basis. Two-sided printing is optional.
Abstract: A multi-ply business form includes at least a lower ply and an upper ply wherein the upper ply overlies only a portion of the lower ply, leaving a first portion of the lower ply exposed in adjacent relationship to the upper ply. The upper ply has a two part label thereon including a release layer on a relatively small part of the upper ply, and an adhesive label overlying the release layer. The release layer and the adhesive label have information impact printed thereon, while the exposed portion of the lower ply has information non-impact printed thereon. The upper ply is also temporarily adhesively secured to the lower ply along at least two edges of the upper ply.
Abstract: A printing sleeve for a rotogravure or flexo printing roll is provided that as a slightly conical or tapered geometry wherein the inner diameter at one end is slightly smaller than the inner diameter at a second end. Similarly, the printing roll is provided with a slightly conical geometry or tapered diameter as well wherein the outside diameter at one end is slightly smaller than the outside diameter at the other end. The larger end of the printing sleeve is mounted over the smaller end of the printing roll and the sleeve is pushed forward either manually or mechanically until the larger end of the printing sleeve is disposed over the larger end of the printing roll. A key/slot combination may be provided on the inside surface of the printing sleeve and outside surface of the printing roll to ensure proper alignment. An apparatus also is provided for mounting a printing sleeve over a printing roll which includes two support bearings for mounting the opposing ends of the printing roll or printing axle.

Abstract: A method and device is described for recording and storing handwritten telephone messages. The device comprises a box structure which houses a roll of duplicating recording paper having a top sheet and a continuous bottom sheet. The roll of paper is unrolled in the box structure and across a writing surface visible through the window area on a front cover plate attached over the front portion of the box structure. The user records the message on one of a plurality of message outlines on the top sheet in the window area. The leading edge of the bottom sheet is attached to a sleeve member also housed inside the box structure. A handle is attached to the sleeve member which is used to selectively rotate the sleeve member to collect the bottom sheet thereon forming a collection spool which may be removed from the box structure and stored in a convenient location.
