    Abstract: The PB Reader solves the problem that the e-reader presents: the e-reader has a non-paper screen and printed documents need assembly, binding, and page turning via hands. This is an electronic, mechanical device that can quickly search, review and print documents and that has text-to-speech and remote control functionality. The unit is rectangular in shape similar as a traditional book, including a viewing window for reading and printing. The unit is fed by two paper-belt rollers, across which images and printed text are displayed. The two paper-belt rolls, which are held by two square axles that are driven by the stepping motor through multiple reduction gears. A pattern of round dots is printed on the bottom side of the paper belt, which can be decoded by a photoelectric sensor to take action of reeling pages. The signals control the stepper motor, allowing the reader to reel the page forward or backward, or jump directly to a specific position.

    Abstract: A business form has a first paper portion with multiple plies and a second portion which is a release liner and has a number of distinct labels disposed on it. At least one of the labels is dimensioned and configured to hold a removable cap on a medical container to indicate if the container cap has been tampered with, and preferably that label has a length of between about 10-11 inches so that it can be wrapped completely around a 90 ml plastic specimen vial, or other medical container, so that portions of the label are in contact with each other, enhancing the tamper evident functionality of the label. A second label on the release liner may be a box seal, and other labels may be provided to facilitate tamper evident functionality of the form.

    Abstract: A business form having a removable label associated with it is made from a paper ply and a piece of transfer tape. The adhesive face of the transfer tape is attached to the paper ply rear face with the side edges of the transfer tape between tractor openings in the paper ply. At least one die cut is formed in the paper ply front face to define, with adhesive from the transfer tape, at least one label, and preferably a plurality of labels. A perforation may be provided in the paper ply at the interiormost edge of the transfer tape, and at the tractor openings most remote from the transfer tape. The paper ply may be the top ply of a multi ply form. During manufacture of the form, the die cut area surrounding the lables is removed to expose the release portion of the transfer tape, and that part of the form remote from the transfer tape, as well as the labels, can be simultaneously printed as the form is fed through a printer utilizing the tractor openings.

    Abstract: A mailer type of business form having a carbonizing bond sheet with a carbon spot on one face, and an insert, is constructed so that the carbonizing bond sheet will remain within the outgoing envelope when the insert is removed. This is accomplished even though the carbon spot goes all the way to the end of the carbonizing sheet by providing thumb notches in the outgoing envelope plies and the carbonizing bond, but not in the insert. The carbonizing bond is stream pasted to the interior top ply of the outgoing envelope to maintain it within the outgoing envelope when the insert is removed. The mailer is constructed in a continuous manner from four vertically aligned webs of paper, with the interior webs having a width less than the top and bottom webs by an amount corresponding to the width of strips of adhesive along the sides of the business forms holding the top and bottom plies together.

    Abstract: A protective label form and carrier is disclosed which includes a carrier (A) having individual label forms (B) carried horizontally spaced on the carrier. Each label form (B) includes a first panel (C) and a coplanar panel (D) which pass between a platen of the printer in a single plane. A label (K) is releasably carried by panel (C) and is printed. As the labels pass continuously through the printer, serial printing of serial numbers and other matter is easily done. Once printed, the individual label forms (B) are removed, panel (D) folds over panel (C) by means of a hinge (F) provided by plastic film attached to a backside (34) of panel (C). A perforated marginal tab (G) separates from plastic film (E) to expose an adhesive alignment margin (26). Adhesive margin (26) adheres to the left margin of panel (C) so that plastic film (E) is evenly overlaid over label (K) as panel (D) is peeled off by pulling tab (G).
