With Feed Means Patents (Class 462/46)
  • Patent number: 8764328
Abstract: The PB Reader solves the problem that the e-reader presents: the e-reader has a non-paper screen and printed documents need assembly, binding, and page turning via hands. This is an electronic, mechanical device that can quickly search, review and print documents and that has text-to-speech and remote control functionality. The unit is rectangular in shape similar as a traditional book, including a viewing window for reading and printing. The unit is fed by two paper-belt rollers, across which images and printed text are displayed. The two paper-belt rolls, which are held by two square axles that are driven by the stepping motor through multiple reduction gears. A pattern of round dots is printed on the bottom side of the paper belt, which can be decoded by a photoelectric sensor to take action of reeling pages. The signals control the stepper motor, allowing the reader to reel the page forward or backward, or jump directly to a specific position.

  • Patent number: 5984778
Abstract: A multi-ply business form includes at least a lower ply and an upper ply wherein the upper ply overlies only a portion of the lower ply, leaving a first portion of the lower ply exposed in adjacent relationship to the upper ply. The upper ply has a two part label thereon including a release layer on a relatively small part of the upper ply, and an adhesive label overlying the release layer. The release layer and the adhesive label have information impact printed thereon, while the exposed portion of the lower ply has information non-impact printed thereon. The upper ply is also temporarily adhesively secured to the lower ply along at least two edges of the upper ply.

  • Patent number: 5431973
Abstract: A continuous form has regularly longitudinal spaced transverse lines, each comprising a cut line or a line of perforation. The transverse lines extend from one edge of the form. The transverse lines are of uniform length of about one-third to one-half the width of the form. A scored line runs longitudinally along the inner end of the transverse lines.

  • Patent number: 5391412
Abstract: A continuous form has regularly longitudinal spaced transverse lines, each comprising a cut line or a line of perforation. The transverse lines extend from one edge of the form. The transverse lines are of uniform length of about one-third to one-half the width of the form. A scored line runs longitudinally along the inner end of the transverse lines. In one embodiment where the transverse lines are cuts, a transverse light line of perforation extends from the inner edge of each cut to the other edge of the form.

  • Patent number: 5334432
Abstract: A continuous form has regularly longitudinal spaced opposed pairs of transverse cuts extending from each edge of the form. The transverse cuts extending from any one edge are of uniform length. Each pair of transverse cuts is joined by a light line of perforation. A perforation or score line runs longitudinally along the inner end of the transverse cuts extending from each edge. This continuous form construction permits the form portion to be folded in the direction of motion of the form over the shortest known distance prior to cutting or separating the form at the opposed pairs of lines to form folded sheets.

  • Patent number: 5297993
Abstract: A business form is constructed from a top paper ply, a transparent (e.g. Mylar) second ply, a third ply having a carbon spot on its back face, and a fourth paper ply. Indicia imprinted on the first ply is transferred to the fourth ply. The first and third plies are readily removed, and a "pocket" is formed by the second and fourth plies. Strips of transfer tape are on the rear face of the fourth ply, which is slit and has fold lines formed so that it may be folded into a packing list configuration, having a basically sealed construction. The packing list may be readily opened by tearing along perforation lines.

  • Patent number: 5275857
Abstract: A paper web comprises separable marginal web feed portions surrounding a continuous form. The continuous form has regularly longitudinal spaced opposed pairs of transverse cut lines extending from each marginal web portion. The pairs of transverse lines leave an uncut middle portion of the web and furthermore the lines extending from each marginal web portion are of uniform length. A perforation or score line runs longitudinally along the inner end of the transverse lines extending from each marginal portion. This web construction permits the continuous form portion of the web to be folded in the direction of motion of the web over the shortest known distance prior to cutting or separating the web at the opposed pairs of lines to form folded sheets. In another embodiment, the transverse cut lines may be replaced by transverse perforation lines in which case the web is burst at these lines prior to folding.
