Abstract: A method for controlling within a printer driver the insertion of tab sheets into a print job. According to one embodiment, sheets of multiple levels are insertable. The printer driver provides at least input fields for entry and display of parameters for the definition of at least one tab sheet, and an interactive area for visualizing the hierarchical structure and the order of the at least one defined tab sheet corresponding to the level of the tab sheet in the print job. Depending on changes of a tab sheet defined by entered parameters, the visualization of the hierarchical structure and the order of the at least one defined tab sheet in the print job is updated in the interactive area.

Abstract: The invention provides the user a first insertion page position setting part that allows a user to designate insertion page positions that respectively indicate pages at which first tab sheets are to be inserted, and a second insertion page position setting part that allows the user to designate insertion page positions that respectively indicate pages at which second tab sheets are to be inserted, when a request for initiating the setting concerning the tab sheets is received. Further, the tab positions in the second tab sheets, which correspond to the insertion page positions designated in said second insertion page position setting part, are set up in accordance with the tab positions in the first tab sheets, which correspond to the insertion page positions designated in said first insertion page position setting part.

Abstract: A printer, as an image forming apparatus, reverses the front and back sides of tab sheets that became no longer necessary and discharges when a reverse discharge is specified.

Abstract: A carbonless form is provided that may be folded selectively into a duplicating state or a non-duplicating state. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a carbonless form is provided comprising a form sheet, a transverse fold line, an assigned data entry portion, and an exposed data entry portion. The form sheet defines a front face, a rear face, a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of side edges. The transverse fold line extends across the form sheet to define a first panel and a second panel on opposite sides of the transverse fold line. The assigned data entry portion is defined on the rear face of the second panel. The exposed data entry portion is defined on the front face of the first panel. A CB coating is applied to the rear face of the form sheet in the first panel and a CF coating is applied to the rear face of the form sheet in the second panel.

Abstract: A note pad includes a plurality of stacked self-stick transparent note sheets. Each of the note sheets includes a transparent plastic film coated with a transparent coating layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The coating layer is prepared from a mixture of a binder and at least one pigment. The weight ratio of the binder to the pigment ranges from 1:1 to 1:10. Each of the note sheets has an opacity of less than 45%.

Abstract: A unitary stack of paper sheets have individual paper sheets which are loosely bonded together in a manner whereby an individual paper sheet is easily removed and used as a base. Each paper sheet in the unitary stack has a pressure sensitive adhesive partially covering each face thereof in approximate aligned areas of the respective faces. A back face of the individual sheet is adhered to a substrate while a front face holds an item for posting. In use, an individual paper sheet is readily removed from the unitary stack, adhered on its back face to the substrate, and then an item posted on its front face.

Abstract: A pad of wrapping material made up of a plurality of sheets, wherein each alternating sheet is staggered in relation to an adjacent sheet for improving the ease with which the sheet is removed from the pad.

Abstract: A label/leaflet assembly includes a support web with a release coating on which is placed an adhesive label with a leaflet secured on its front face. The leaflet has a front cover one end of which extends beyond the underlying panels of the leaflets. This end of the leaflet has a first part which is permanently joined to the main body of the front cover and which is releasably and re-sealably adherent to the label, and a second part which is permanently secured by an adhesive to the label and is connected to the first part and/or the main body of the front cover along one or more tear lines. Until opened the leaflet is held firmly sealed by the second part. When opened the leaflet is re-sealable, but the torn tear lines show that the leaflet has been opened. The assembly is thus tamper-evident.

Abstract: An adhesive label including inner and outer sheets arranged in overlying relation with a multi-page leaflet arranged therebetween. The inner and outer sheets are generally laterally aligned relative to each other along respective first side edges and are adhered to each other along an end region extending laterally inward from the laterally aligned edges of the sheets. The multi-page leaflet is arranged in a folded configuration between the sheets with one folded edge of the leaflet being generally laterally aligned with the second side edge of the inner sheet and the other folded edge of the leaflet being laterally spaced inwardly from the laterally aligned first edges of the sheets. The outer sheet extends over and laterally beyond the second edge of the inner sheet past the folded edge of the leaflet. An off-center tearing line of weakness is arranged on the outer sheet adjacent to the leaflet to allow the label to be torn open and provide access to the leaflet.

Abstract: This invention relates to an imaging sheet manifold comprising a transparent polymeric sheet imageable in an imaging machine and an opaque sheet adhered thereto by means of a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive. The adhesive comprises a) 50-90% by weight of a lower alkylacrylate the alkyl chains of which can be from 4-12 carbon atoms; b) 10-50% by weight of a higher alkylacrylate or methacrylate, the alkyl chains of which can be from 12 to 26 carbon atoms, and c) a crosslinker. This invention also comprises a method of making the novel imaging manifold.
