An extraction device removes the mass from each surface. A cleaning device removes debris from each surface prior to each surface receiving a subsequent layer of seed grain.

    Abstract: A buoyant planter and its use. In one embodiment, the invention is a buoyant planter comprising: a nonwoven matrix body comprising fibers; a plurality of buoyant foam units integrated into said nonwoven matrix to produce a buoyant mass, said buoyant foam units being comprised of an expanded, cured polymer resin that envelopes a portion of said fibers to produce foamed zones; and a hydrophilic growth medium that is supported by said nonwoven matrix body. In another embodiment, the invention is a buoyant planter comprising: a nonwoven matrix body comprising fibers; a plurality of substantially vertical capillary channels within said nonwoven matrix body, each of said substantially vertical capillary channels having an upper end; and a grass sod disposed on said nonwoven matrix body and in communication with said upper ends.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus which is designed to hold a plurality of cultivation beds for mushrooms or other agricultural products, each rotating on two different axes. The three disclosed embodiments operate according to different configurations but all provide similar functionality for the apparatus, enabling the frames holding the cultivation beds to rotate in two different circular motions independently or in congruence. The overall design of the preferred embodiments of the apparatus resemble that of an elaborate Ferris wheel and includes a central wheel assembly, and a number of secondary wheel assemblies each holding a plurality of cultivation beds which are positioned on the perimeter of the central wheel assembly. The first rotating motion is around the axis of the central wheel and the second is of each secondary rotating mechanism around its axis.

One or more of the bases includes means for supporting one or more plants. The bases have side edges that abut one another and are secured together. In a preferred embodiment, the bases are rectangular mats fabricated from a closed-cell foam plastic material. Each of the bases has at least one side edge wherein a plurality of indentations are spaced apart along the side edge forming a plurality of protrusions and each indentation is positioned between consecutively spaced protrusions. The side edges of respective bases are joined together such that the protrusions on one base are positioned in mating relationship with the indentations of another base. In addition, or alternatively, the bases can be secured together by clips.

The drainage tray prevents the accumulation of fluid near a potted plant that can damage or stain the deck, floor, sidewalk or other support surface and/or cause persons to slip and fall.
