Abstract: An in-line fastener track selection device comprises a stator having first, second and third fastener conduits; a rotor, rotatably mounted with respect the stator about a rotation axis, and comprising a rotor body and a connection space. The rotor is rotatable between a first position in which the connection space adjoins the first and second fastener conduits, such that, in use, a fastener may pass between the first and second fastener conduits via the connection space, and a second position in which the connection space adjoins the first and third fastener conduits, such that, in use, a fastener may pass between the first and third fastener conduits via the connection space.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a device and methods for safely and accurately placing screws into bones with a powered driving device. By employing multiple layers of fail-safe features and image-guidance systems, the powered driving device provides safe, accurate, and efficient screw placement. That is, the powered driving device may continuously monitor a screw advancement and placement and may automatically shutdown when improper placement is detected. Monitoring placement may be conducted by a microcurrent-monitoring system, by an image-guidance system, or by any other appropriate sensory system. Additionally, upon detecting that screw insertion is complete, the powered driving device may be automatically shutdown.
Abstract: Apparatus for inserting elongate members axially into receiving means has elongate member supply means to support and supply the elongate members continuously side-by-side substantially upright in a line. Indexed means serves to supply the receiving means relative to a delivery position and associated delivery means for insertion of the elongate members at least partially into the receiving means. A rotary indexed transfer wheel has spaced edge slots to receive and retain the elongate members in transferring said elongate members between the supply means therefor and said delivery position.
