Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a children's rocker adapted for providing simultaneous rocking and swinging motion for a child positioned therein. According to various embodiments, the children's rocker generally comprises a frame configured for rocking movement on a support surface and a child support suspended from the frame by one or more attachment members. In various embodiments, the attachment members are generally configured to permit the child support to swing along an arcuate path relative to the frame. In addition, in particular embodiments, the child support may be adapted for gliding motion relative to the rocker's frame.
Abstract: Rotating inclusive play devices are provided. In certain embodiments, a rotating play device includes a stationary base, a rotatable portion, and a speed limiting device that connects the stationary base to the rotatable portion. The speed limiting device illustratively limits a rotational speed of the rotatable portion relative to the stationary base. The rotatable portion may have an elevated outer perimeter that includes recessed and raised portions. The speed limiting device may include a cranking mechanism and/or a piston mechanism.
Abstract: A convertible rocking chair with multi-using modes comprises a base rack, an angle adjustable support element, a seat element, a repositionable mechanism and a backrest. The base rack has an end-stopper rotatably connected with one end, when the convertible rocking chair is used in a seat or bench mode, the end-stopper can be kept in an extended position for stopping the base rack from rocking against ground; and when the convertible rocking chair is used in the rocking chair mode or the rocking horse mode, the end-stopper can be kept in a hidden position for allowing the base rack to perform its rocking motion freely.
Abstract: An actuated support frame for transmitting motion to a seat with respect to a ground as a function of motion signals associated with video output, comprises a frame. The frame is expandable/retractable along translational degrees of freedom. Support surfaces are provided on the frame. The support surfaces are displaceable with respect to one another by expansion/retraction of the frame so as to be sized to support a seat. Actuators are provided between the frame and the ground. The actuators receive signals and selectively displace the frame with respect to the ground in synchronization with a video output, whereby a seat supported on the frame is displaceable within the frame. A method for installing a seating system of a motion simulator system is also provided.

Abstract: A child's rocking toy provides a body, the body having a lower convex surface and an upper concave surface with a peripheral edge. The upper concave surface has a lower portion with a seat and a seating surface. A handle, handles or a steering wheel is mounted to the upper concave surface at a position next to the peripheral edge. The seating surface is placed in a position well below the peripheral edge and closer to the bottom of the body.
Abstract: A rocking type exercising apparatus includes a movable unit on which a user rides and a driving unit for causing the movable unit to perform a rocking motion. Abstract: A rocking horse has two arcuate members or rockers which can held in spaced relation to a supporting surface during a portion of the rocking cycle by stirrups. During this portion, the rockers can move with respect to the stirrups and hence with respect to the supporting surface to take a step forward and/or turn. The horse moves using inertial forces inherent in the rocking motion and/or riding activity.
Abstract: A dual purpose child seat and toy is disclosed. The toy can be employed in a rocking horse fashion by sitting in a forward facing direction and rocking back and forth. The base of the toy is curved to allow such rocking motion. In addition, the toy is configured so as to allow the child to turn in the opposite direction facing the rear of the toy with a backrest being provided for the child to recline. In such a position, the child can relax, watch television, read books, or the like. In addition, the toy is provided with storage capability and a convenient carrying handle.
Abstract: Children's rocking toy, in particular in the form of a stylized horse, having a one-piece basic body made of flexible synthetic material, a simply curved rocking surface forming the base of the rocking toy and a seat region molded into it. In one refinement, the seat region is molded into it to a sufficient depth that a backrest region is produced. The rocking toy has a horse's head and a horse's rear part which serves as a support for a child situated in the seat. The basic body can consist of foam, in particular of foam rubber. In this case, the basic body is of a Shore hardness sufficient for it to have sufficient stability for rocking and to yield when a child is lying on a side surface of the toy. For further stabilization purposes, the basic body widens in its cross section towards the base. The basic body is preferably manufactured from a foam block and, for further refinement, can have a material covering, if appropriate a slip-on cover.

In the invention, the structure comprises a frontal support frame, a rear support frame, and an arc-shaped rocking frame. On the frontal support frame there is a movable sliding sleeve to which the rear support frame is connected by a hinge. The motion sensor is coupled to the toy body. The motion sensor defines a cavity and has at least three contacts and a moveable object disposed in the cavity. The moveable object is positionable between at least a first position in which, the movable object bridges a first combination of two of the at least three contacts to form a first circuit input, and a second position, in which the moveable object bridges a second combination of two of the at least three contacts forming a second circuit input. The control circuit is coupled to the toy body and is electrically coupled to the motion sensor and to the generating device.
Abstract: A new and useful amusement device for an animal such as a horse is provided, which is designed to (i) occupy and amuse an animal such as a horse which is confined to an enclosure, (ii) condition the animal against an event such as a foreign object appearing in the enclosure, and (iii) enable the animal to exercise by playing in various ways with the device. The amusement device is designed to be rugged and durable enough to withstand environmental conditions of an animal enclosure such as a paddock or corral, and flexible enough to retain is shape despite the physical abuse associated with being played with by a horse.
Abstract: A hemispherically-shaped rolling toy for the amusement and exercise of children is disclosed. The invention is comprised of a hemispherically-shaped body made of a rigid material. The hemispherically-shaped body has a hollow interior which faces up to allow receipt of a child therein. The body has a rim which extends a predetermined distance outwardly, and upwardly at a predetermined angle relative to the vertical axis of the hemispherical body, forming a lip which is a deterrent to the possibility of the toy tipping over. A plurality of vertical slots horizontally encircle the body. A strap made of a strong material such as nylon is threaded through the vertical slots forming strap handles on the interior side of the device. The hollow interior is lined with a cushion made of a soft, pliant material such as foam. The cushion is covered by a liner made of an exposure-resistant material such as vinyl, the liner having an elasticized hem which secures the liner under the rim of the hemispherically-shaped body.

All the components are made of foam material to make the rocking chair safe to use by children. Abstract: A mechanism is provided for extending and retracting wheels on a baby rocking carriage which includes two parallel arcuate beams, four base members each fixedly mounted on one distal end of each of the arcuate beams and having a passage and a cavity each defined in an underside thereof, four wheel modules each pivotally disposed on an underside of a respective one of the four base members. The mechanism includes a sleeve rotatably mounted in the passage of each of the base members and having an extension pivotally engaged with each of the wheel modules. A control member has a plug fixedly mounted in a chamber defined in the sleeve to rotate therewith and has a lug extending outwards of the sleeve. A catch member is pivotally mounted in an opening defined in the lug and has a first end portion and a second end portion having a boss detachably received in the cavity of each of the base members. A biasing member is mounted between the first end portion of the catch member and the lug.

The hemispherical shell is fabricated of a rigid plastic material and includes an interior surface and an exterior surface with an open top for the receipt of children therein. A pair of planar sheets is fabricated of a plastic material, each having an upper linear edge and a lower semi-circular edge and a horizontal planar edge therebetween. The lower circular edge is adapted to be received in contact with the interior surface of the shell.
Abstract: A rocking device for use as a toy incorporating several safety features to prevent the device from tipping over and the riders from falling off their seats or otherwise sustaining injuries during use. The rocking device includes a pair of substantially parallel siderails each having an upper portion and a curved lower portion. At least one horizontal member connects the pair of siderails. A pair of seats pivot from points on the upper portions of the siderails and remain substantially parallel to the ground during rocking of the pair of siderails.
Abstract: A rocking apparatus comprises a rocking base and a user support body mounted on the rocking base. The rocking base has a front end with a front strut fixed thereto. The front strut inclines upwardly by a predetermined angle and has a first wheel unit provided thereon. The rocking base further has two curved rocking plates and a second wheel unit mounted on front ends of the rocking plates. Hard forward rocking movement of the rocking apparatus results in the first and second wheel units contacting a support surface at the same time and the rocking plates separating from the support surface to permit forward movement of the rocking apparatus. At least one spring unit is interposed between the user support body and the rocking base to permit vertical reciprocating movement of the user support body. The first wheel unit includes a wheel support mounted rotatably on a distal end section of the front strut and provided with a steering axle that extends therethrough. The wheel support carries a wheel thereat.
Abstract: An inflatable rocking chair comprising a seat and a frame. The seat is inflatable having a holding portion and a sitting portion. The frame is formed from a plurality of tubes having two connecting tubes which forms the horizontal tubes of the chair. Two arch-shaped tubes contact the ground to provide a rocking function of the chair. Two U-shaped tubes are used to connect the connecting tubes with the arch-shaped tubes so as to provide the frame and the inflatable seat as one unit. The frame of the inflatable chair is detachable.
