Abstract: An image processing device (1000) includes a luminance variation detection unit (1), an angular variation detection unit (2), an image region detection unit (3), and an image processing unit (4). The luminance variation detection unit (1) detects a degree of variation of pixel value in a pixel reference region including a pixel of interest and pixels around the pixel of interest. The angular variation detection unit (2) acquires a contour direction where the pixel value is constant in the pixel reference region for each pixel and detects a degree of variation of the acquired contour direction. The image region detection unit (3) acquires an image region detection signal representing characteristics of the image region including the pixel of interest based on the degree of variation of the pixel value and the degree of variation of the contour direction. The image processing unit (4) performs a predetermined image process on the pixel of interest based on the image region detection signal.

Abstract: A rotating seat for suspension from a play set structure includes a seat body rotatable about a generally vertical axis with an upper seating surface configured to support a user, an elongated suspending element configured to support the seat body from the play set structure, and a handle assembly operably coupled with the suspending element to cause rotation of the seat body relative to the axis upon actuation by the user. The suspending element extends substantially vertically, presents opposite upper and lower end margins, is configured to operably couple with the play set structure along the upper end margin, and is operably coupled with the seat body at a location spaced from the upper end margin. A damped pivot connection assembly configured to operably secure the suspending element with the play set structure and allow restrained pivoting movement of the suspending element relative to a fixed bracket of the connection assembly is also disclosed.

Abstract: The manually pushed swing involves a vertical pole that is anchored into the ground via a concrete base, wherein a swing top mounts atop said pole and enables a plurality of swings seats and push handles to be connected thereon. The push handles enable a non-occupant to propel the plurality of swing seats around the pole via a bearing. The manually pushed swing is ideally suited for outdoor use.
Abstract: This invention relates to a manual swing drive mechanism to be mounted on a swing in order to transmit the swinging movement to a person who cannot do it alone, notably a child. Through a hand operated rocking arm, the assisting person transmits a swinging movement to a swaying member which transfers a pendulum swinging movement to the seat lines of the swing through a set of elongated swinging arms fixed perpendicularly to the swaying member. The functionality of the invention could be expanded into a multi-swing drive mechanism thus allowing one or several assisting persons to transmit a swinging movement to a group of two or more assisted persons.
Abstract: A rope swing handle bar apparatus and system. The apparatus is centered on a cylindrical body through which a rope fits. The rope can generally be tied to a fixed object such as a tree branch. The handle bar typically includes handles having grips. The handles generally attached perpendicular to the cylindrical body. A washer is connected to one end of the body. A knot can be tied into the rope and the washer generally prevents the knot from becoming untied. The body is treated to prevent wear on the rope.
Abstract: A wheelchair glider is provided having a frame assembly and a platform swingingly suspended substantially horizontally within the frame assembly by a swing arm assembly, the platform being configured to support at least one wheelchair thereon, including wheelchairs of various sizes and configurations, the glider optionally being provided with one or more ramps for loading and unloading a wheelchair, and one or more handlebars and/or a footrest for a user in a wheelchair to manually bias the platform in a back and forth swinging motion relative to the frame assembly.
Abstract: A swing having a stationary support member to which is pivotally attached to first and second arms. The first and second arms are in turn pivotally attached by connectors on side wings that extend from a base member. The base member has an arcuate surface that extends from a first end to a second end with the side wings extending on a tangent from the second end for a fixed distance to a terminus point. The center of gravity of the attached base member is selected such that the base member is in an approximate horizontal plane with the first and second arms in a rest position. A person mounts the base member to define a prone position with their hands on a handle adjacent the first end and feet located on a support attached to the terminus point of the side wings. As the person propels the base member in an arc about a first pivot of the first and second arms and stationary support, the base member pivots rotates in a counter manner on yokes which attached the side wings.
Abstract: A multi-axis swing is provided, which consists of a seat that is sat upon by a person. A structure is for suspending the seat from above, so that the person may swing back and forth in an arc. A first mechanism operable by the person in the seat is for performing backward and forward somersault rolls. A pair second mechanism operable by the person in the seat is for performing left and right barrel rolls.
