Illusion Caused By Abnormal Interior Building Structure Appearing Normal Patents (Class 472/74)
  • Patent number: 8584414
Abstract: Structures with an outer wall structure have multiple angled walls that are alternately joined together so as to create recessed and protruding elements relative to a horizontal structural foundation, there being a façade structure added to the outer wall structure, so that a viewer at a predetermined viewing distance from the outer wall structure will see a reverse-perspective illusion on the outer wall structure when moving laterally relative to the outer wall structure. Reverse-perspective lines are formed by one or more visible elements that help to create a reverse-perspective illusion. Reverse-perspective lines, if extended to infinity, will converge at a vanishing point on a horizon line located at a preselected viewer's eye height at a predetermined distance from the structure but they are not parallel to the horizontal structural foundation.

  • Patent number: 6935961
Abstract: With a view to providing a conjuring tool which is simple in construction and operation, an interior of a case main body 2 is divided by a partition plate 5 into two portions such as a coin accommodating portion 6 for accommodating coins 20 in a state in which coins are stacked one on another vertically in advance and a coin introducing portion 7 for introducing coins 20a during a play, the partition plate 5 is fixed to an interior surface of a top wall of the case main body 2, and a slit 5a is formed between a lower end of the partition plate 5 and a bottom wall of the case main body 2 for allowing coins 20 accommodated within the coin accommodating portion 6 to pass therethrough into the coin introducing portion 7 one by one.

  • Patent number: 6202666
Abstract: A tent having a panoramic image displayed thereon and method for making same. An observer inside the tent is surrounded by a panoramic or continuous image, giving him the illusion of being in the space represented by the image. The image is applied to flat two-dimensional sections which are attached together to form the three-dimensional tent.

  • Patent number: 6152829
Abstract: A device and a process for producing effects of waterfall, rain, garden, mountains, desert, animals, kitchen and river scenes while viewing a picture, an advertisement or playing amusement games in a cinema hall/open theater/TV is disclosed. The device includes a movie film/video tape/disc with coded signals for producing effects of waterfall, rain, garden, mountain, desert, animals, kitchen and river scenes or advertisements either recorded separately or embedded on the sound signals; an electronic decoder for decoding the coded signals when the film is moving and particular scene appears; the output of the electronic decoder is connected to an actuating device that releases gas/perfumes or energizes a heating/cooling device to produce the desired effects corresponding to the scene appearing on the screen.

  • Patent number: 6139160
Abstract: A structure capable of generating a virtual polyhedral space includes a plurality of walls, each having a first side edge, a second side edge, and a reflective surface. The walls are disposed adjacent one another, with the first side edge of each wall adjacent the second side edge of an adjacent wall, each wall lying in an associated one of a plurality of planes intersecting at a common apex, thus forming a pyramid shaped structure. So disposed, the walls define an interior space of the structure, with the reflective surfaces of the walls facing the interior space. Each wall further includes a base edge. Together, the base edges of the reflective walls define a base opening of the structure, which provides access to the interior space. The images of optional base coverings form coherent images of a virtual polyhedron in the reflective surfaces of the walls. Three-sided, four-sided, and five-sided embodiments are described.

The walls are disposed adjacent one another, with the first side edge of each wall adjacent the second side edge of an adjacent wall, each wall lying in an associated one of a plurality of planes intersecting at a common apex, thus forming a pyramid shaped structure. So disposed, the walls define an interior space of the architectural structure, with the reflective surfaces of the walls facing the interior space. Each wall further includes a base edge. Together, the base edges of the reflective walls form a support base for supporting the architectural structure on a floor surface. The images of the floor surface in the reflective surfaces of the walls forms a coherent image of a virtual polyhedron. Three-sided, four-sided, and five-sided embodiments are described.

  • Patent number: 6074307
Abstract: An amusement attraction provides a set transformation effect. The audience watches a presentation in a viewing area. A moveable, open-bottomed flying set piece is located at a raised position above the viewing area. The flying set piece is hidden from the audience when the audience enters the viewing area. The flying set piece is attached to an overhead rigging system. A drive system lowers the flying set piece from the raised position above the viewing area to a lowered position such that the flying set piece surrounds the audience in the viewing area. The audience perceives that they have been transported back to different location within the attraction.
