Rotatable Playing Surface Patents (Class 473/16)
  • Patent number: 8398499
Abstract: A rotary game table includes a combination game table, two side support members, and at least one cross member. The combination game table includes one type of game on one side and another type of game on the other side. The at least one cross member is terminated on each end by a single side support member. The combination game table is pivotally retained by one side support member on each end thereof. A locking device is used to pivotally constrain rotation of the combination game table. At least one table cross member is used to internally brace the combination game table with at least one air passage formed therethrough. In another embodiment, a substantially U-shaped side member is attached to one cross member and one end of the two side support members. In another embodiment, a collapsible support is used to increase rigidity of the side support members.

  • Patent number: 8167732
Abstract: A static-balance-effect game table includes a table stand and a tablet. The table stand has two frame racks, a reception space, a base component and two connection components. The two frame racks are arranged in a symmetric manner and each has an inner end opposite to each other. Each frame rack includes two frame members individual and symmetric to each other. Each frame member is L-shaped approximately and disposed at an inclined angle, so that a distance between two inner ends of two respective frame members is shorter than a distance between two outer ends of two respective frame members. The reception space is defined between the two frame racks. The base component is elongated and has two opposite ends; each end of the base component connects to the inner end of each frame members. The two connection components join two frame members of each frame rack respectively. The tablet is arranged in the reception space of the table stand, and has two ends joining two connection components respectively.

Abstract: A playing surface that introduces “movement” or “motion” as a fourth dimension to the traditional game of billiards by altering the natural inertia of the billiard balls is disclosed. In one embodiment of the playing surface, “motion” is introduced through turning or rotating of a portion of the playing surface of the billiards table in the same plane as the playing surface. By affecting introducing a new element that would affect the inertia of the balls, players would then be required to not only make judgments about the distance, angle and force that the cue ball should strike the target ball, but must also consider how those factors may be effective by the introduction of an element that may alter the typical movement of the balls. Accordingly, players will be faced with moving targets, moving obstacles and the possible redirection and/or change in speed of the target balls as they attempt to hit the balls into the pockets of the table.

  • Patent number: 6468165
Abstract: Millenn Golf is a recreational form of golf played indoors or outdoors in a yard, field, gymnasium or basketball court or other hard surface, in which players use ordinary golf clubs to strike the Nium Flyer from a portable strip of synthetic turf, causing the Nium Flyer to fly toward a goal called the Netty Millenn in the fewest number of strokes until the Nium Flyer lands in and rests in the Netty Millenn. Each player then removes the Nium Flyer, places it on the synthetic turf and proceeds to repeat the game process completing the course as determined by the players and/or the game master. The object of the game is to complete the course in the fewest strokes as possible as in regular golf. The player with the fewest strokes, as in regular golf, is the winner. Millenn Golf is an economical, portable and flexible form of golf which can be enjoyed by people of differing ages in all types of weather, even indoors.
