Abstract: The technology provides practice aids for developing croquet skills and on-mallet playing aids for improving croquet play. The practice aids are used while practicing croquet and offer benefits such as immediate feedback and practice shot repeatability. The practice aids may include a swing trainer, a single ball shot trainer, a croquet shot maker, a cannon shot maker, a mallet alignment tool, a take-off trainer, a hoop maker, and a wiring trainer. The on-mallet playing aids are used while practicing and during croquet games since the rules of croquet allow a player to mark a mallet. The on-mallet playing aids offer benefits such as improved in-game shot setup and improved shot precision. The on-mallet playing aids may include a single ball shot playing facilitator, a take-off playing facilitator, and a croquet-shot playing facilitator. The practice aids and the on-mallet playing aids may offer different ways of achieving a same result.
Abstract: A disc throwing game assembly allows for play of a disc throwing game combining aspects of disc golf, soccer and lacrosse. The game assembly includes a disc and a pair of goals. Each of the goals comprises a pair of straight sides and a pair of bases. Each of the bases is coupled to and extends from a distal end of an associated one of the straight sides relative to a junction of the straight sides. A net is coupled to a first end of an elongated staff. A scoop is coupled to a second end of the staff.
Abstract: A croquet game caddy for removably retaining croquet game components for playing a croquet game. The caddy includes croquet mallet head retainers which retains the croquet mallet heads in an upwardly stacked pyramid configuration.

Abstract: A modified croquet game is provided which may have a single continuous course or one or more sections each comprising a continuous course, wherein the course may be constructed in a similar fashion as a traditional miniature golf course. The course of the modified croquet game may include conveyors, obstacles, slanted surfaces, etc. and a plurality of wickets positioned to make successfully navigating the course more difficult. The plurality of wickets may be comprised of wickets of different colors, with more or less points being awarded for successfully hitting a ball through a wicket of a particular color. According to one aspect of the present invention the modified croquet game may include at least one post or area which may provide a player with additional hits and/or the ability to effect the play of opponents when a player successfully hits the post.
Abstract: A croquet modifying game includes at least one indicator such as a playing card. The playing card includes player instructions, wherein the player instructions modify standard play of a game of croquet. A corresponding method of playing croquet is provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to obstacles for used in yard games, a set of obstacles, and a method of playing games using the obstacles. Example obstacles include a ramp, a helical loop, a banked curve, and an inclined pipe. Although preferably these obstacles are used in croquet, some or all of them can be used in other yard games, such as yard bowling (bocce), rolling hoops, etc., or variations thereof.
Abstract: A croquet wicket lighting unit to provide illumination in the vicinity of a wicket to facilitate playing the game of croquet under conditions of low illumination. Components are attached to a mounting plate 11 that straddles the wicket. The mounting plate universally and firmly attaches to any size or style of wicket by means of retaining straps 24 and friction pads 25 in combination with universal engaging slots 12. The illumination element directs an intense beam of focused light through a hole 13 in the mounting plate and onto the playing surface immediately under the wicket to clearly reveal the passage of a ball through the wicket. The illumination scheme also casts a larger area of more diffuse light on the playing surface immediately adjacent to the focus spot to reveal croquet balls resting therein and facilitate play around the wicket.
Abstract: Croquet equipment formed of a mallet, a ball, a hoop and a stake is disclosed in which, the mallet has two vibration switch-controlled light emitting modules detachably mounted in the two ends of the light penetrable head thereof; the ball has a vibration switch-controlled light emitting module detachably mounted in the light penetrable body thereof; the stake has a manual on/off switch-controlled light emitting module detachably mounted in the anchoring point and a light guide axially extended from the light emitting module for guiding light through the periphery of the tubular shaft thereof.
Abstract: A portable soccer golf game in which the players arrange a course comprising a plurality of independent and successive stations each defined by a starting location and a goal location according to the available space and their particular skill level. The game is played by placing goals at the various goal locations, whereby a player kicks a soccer ball from the designated starting location along any desired path toward the given goal location with the intent of getting the ball in the goal. The player with the fewest number of kicks to complete the course is the winner.
