Patent number: 8070631Abstract: A quick release base system that includes a base platform and a removable base. The base platform includes a bottom platform surface and a top platform surface. The top platform surface is positioned above the bottom platform surface. The top platform surface includes platform prongs. The platform prongs are substantially perpendicular to the top platform surface and extend away from the top platform surface and away from the bottom platform surface. The removable base rests on top of the base platform, and the removable base includes an interior base surface. The interior base surface includes base prongs. The base prongs are substantially perpendicular to the interior base surface and extend away from the interior base, and the platform prongs interact with the base prongs to create a lateral restraining force between the base platform and the removable base.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2007Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Kranos IP CorporationInventor: Kenneth W. Patent number: 7115044Abstract: The present invention is a Golf learning, training, practice device utilizing a Magnetic Module, Swing Plate, Impact Form, and Ball Holder. The Magnetic Module is a shallow case enclosing a plurality of magnets, inserted flush with earth ground, or a board. The Swing Plate is a round or elongated disk with a plurality of apertures from left side to right, having printed location guides for ball or target positioning, used by laying selected aperture onto Magnetic Module. The Impact Form of a shape, of resilient material, or fabric becoming a target for practice golf swing. The Ball Holder, a form or shape, of resilient material, being concave, or cylindrical on top, to support a real, or practice golf ball. The selected aperture of Swing Plate, magnetically attracted to Magnetic Module, will also, within the same aperture, attract either Impact Form or Ball Holder. This device offers ball placement choices, swing approaches, orientation, and guidance, for practice swings and actual strokes with a golf ball.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2004Date of Patent: October 3, 2006Inventor: George Jurgen Faltin

Patent number: 6077175Abstract: A breakaway safety base for use in baseball, softball, and other athletic base running games generally comprises a plate of metal or other suitable material, which is permanently secured to the underside of the base. The plate has a periphery with a plurality of downwardly turned edges, which engage the underlying ground. Generally vertical force on the base, as by a fielder or runner stepping on the base, results in the edges engaging the underlying surface more firmly, thereby resisting lateral displacement of the base. However, generally horizontal force on the base, as by a runner sliding into the base, allows the base to be horizontally displaced. This horizontal displacement of the base precludes any serious injury to the sliding base runner. The present breakaway safety base does not require any permanent anchor or other mating component to be permanently set or driven into the surface, thereby allowing the present safety base to be used to define any desirable base paths in any suitable playing field.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1998Date of Patent: June 20, 2000Inventor: David E. Patent number: 5590874Abstract: A ground support structure and a base system are provided in which the ground support structure is configured to have a recessed area disposed inside a peripheral rim, into which a base or a drag plate may be inserted and fastened. The associated base has a principal lower surface and a ground support-engaging lower protrusion that has a fastener corresponding to at least one fastener on an athletic device mounting surface disposed in the recess of the ground support structure. The drag plate is configured to substantially fill the entire area of the recess, and to provide an upper planar surface that is essentially flush with the peripheral rim on the ground support structure.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: January 7, 1997Inventor: Roger E.
