The processing device includes a processing unit and a low-to-high unit. The processing unit generates a first image signal having both a first transmission rate and a first channel number. The low-to-high unit converts the first image signal into a second image signal having both a second transmission rate and a second channel number. The first transmission rate is lower than the second transmission rate. The display device includes a high-to-low unit and a display unit. The high-to-low unit receives and converts the second image signal into a third image signal having both a third transmission rate and a third channel number. The display unit displays the third image signal. a number of channels of the transmission cable is the same as the second channel number.

    Abstract: A bowling alley is provided with a photoelectric pinfall detection system which includes a pinfall detection device by means of which it can be recognized whether or not a fallen pin is lying in the end region of the bowling lane or in one of the gutters. The pinfall detection device comprises a light sensitive sensor array which detects any radiation reflected by a pin lying in the end region of the bowling lane. For this purpose, the lower foot portion of each pin may be provided with a black ring. Thus, the reflection characteristics of the pin change in dependence whether the pin is standing upright or has fallen, because in the first case the weak reflection of the black ring is detected by the pinfall detection apparatus, while in the second case the strong reflection of the white central portion of the pin is detected.

The all solid state pinspotter controller provides circuitry for executing a short strike cycles. In addition, the pinspotter controller secures power to a back end motor of the pinspotter in order to conserve the energy consumed by the back end motor. The pinspotter controller provides circuitry coupled to a remote control console for permitting the pinspotter to complete a current cycle prior to executing a shut down command for the pinspotter from the remote control console. In addition, the all solid state pinspotter controller retains status and position data for the pinspotter during power interrupts.

    Abstract: An automatic pin setter includes a pinsetting deck structure movable toward and away from a pin supporting surface on a bowling lane for controlling setting of bowling pins on the lane supporting surface. A rake sweeps pins from the lanes. A rake up switch senses if the rake is in a raised position. A drive system is operatively coupled to the deck structure and rake and includes a cycle solenoid, the drive system for controlling an automatic pin setter cycle in response to energization of the solenoid. The pinsetter cycle controls movement of the deck structure and the rake to selectively remove or set pins on the lane. A pit cushion is positioned at a rear end of the lane and is linked to the rake to lower the rake from the raised position when a thrown ball strikes the pit cushion. A control comprises a ball sensor mounted on the lane before the pit cushion for sensing presence of a ball on the lane and developing an electrical trigger signal in response thereto.

The fixed pivot point of the scissor arms, supported by the scissors deck, is movable from a first position, in which the original pivot point of the scissors arms is maintained, to a second position, in which the pivot point is movable to prevent adequate closing of the scissor arms whereby an undesired pin(s) is not clamped by the scissor arms and remains on the bowling surface where it may be swept away by the sweeper during its sweeping motion. All of the necessary pin(s), required for a desired bowling practice pin combination, a clamped and raised by the scissor arms during the resetting cycle. The invention also relates to a control mechanism for controlling movement of the slidable pivot point.
